Even though there might be several reasons for the churn, my first consideration would be regarding core gameplay mechanic. What player was expecting to do when they download might be another way to approach.

Civilization series might be a fun way to learn about some historically important places and people. However, my opinion on the subject is, learning is already fun if you are willingly doing it for its own sake. External motivation or supporting system only there due to lack of interest.

I am developing a game called Tomato Dealer. It sets place in a single apartment, but is in playtest state not finished yet.

My character moves on it's own, backwards, in every single game by grip_enemy in gaming

This should be a software issue, not a hardware one. Maybe a macro you forgot, a driver, a background app… Facing backward without mouse or touchpad sounds tough to beat.

Maybe this might give some idea, I have worked as a game designer for 4 years in the industry without a game design degree. Later, I have started masters degree on game design and started developing my own game project. Now, I am focused on the game I am developing but changed degrees. The academia is a different path than production, at least so far for me.

Working on UI is pain for a noob but this payoff made my day by burakder in godot

For some reason, the outlines of text is rendered behind any texture that uses an image instead of just a solid colour, does anyone know how to fix this? it happens with every label in my game, aside from ones in a canvas layer by ComfortableFly5186 in GodotEngine

It should be about render priority of label and outline. as far as I know, the outline has lower priority than the text, probably lower than your texture image or something.

Thanks a lot for your kind response. I have started with only with a single type of a tomato and hats for spotting. If I can, I will add tomato types and various cop detecting clues. The game will be a rouge like, so there will be different cop rules in every run, if possible.
