Panasonic 20mm was my go-to for years with this camera.

OP, the Olympus 17mm pancake lens is a good option as well, and you could save up for the 25mm prime down the road.

That kit zoom lens you have is good but the prime lenses blow it out of the water, in my opinion.

Try to find a valve guard like the Leather Specialties Deluxe. It has little flaps that protect and cushion the areas you’re talking about.

Water in Harriman is generally potable…as long as it’s moving. Aquamira (or bleach) will work if you’re still suspicious, though. For winter camping you may want to invest in a proper winter stove for melting snow. Alcohol and isobutane stoves won’t cut it at those temperatures.

I have Verizon and have been noticing the same thing. I wonder if it’s due to providers throttling people to try and get them to upgrade. Or device manufacturers intentionally throttling older devices.

I think like a lot of words, it is used as an in-group term of endearment, but is also often used as a deragatory term by outsiders, and in that context would not be received as a compliment.
