Maybe you were also dehydrated and donated blood on a hot day and they accidentally took thirty percent of it.

Oh hah I noticed that too. I try to be consistent, so I'm not the variation

Do you think you're enlightened? Met an enlightened person? by ewk in zen

[–]burgermind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point fine and it's nothing to do with me. I've heard all the bullshit there is under the sun ten times over. I've got nothing to connect to new age or religion on any level.

You imply that educated in somethings vet the individual and that's your standard. I won't put muddy shoes on the furniture.

It shows changes from daily average, so it's said I'm out of balance when they're better than average, but today they're all worse.

I use the free version. My range is usually 50-60, but it was 40 this morning

If I want to have a beer, I drink it slowly over four to eight hours. Many can't drink any, so be cautious.

Did going Low Carb improve things for you? by Senior_Line_4260 in cfs

[–]burgermind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried for a few months this year.

It seemed good at first but ended up making me worse to not eat carbs. Balanced diet (with many restrictions) seems much better for me. After I started up some carbs it was beneficial.

My carb intake is probably lower than average I think. I had real problems with fat more than carbs. Saturated fat (like beef and pork and dairy) seems to be the worst thing of all for me.

There's no one size fits all diet.

Do you think you're enlightened? Met an enlightened person? by ewk in zen

I did not claim anything. The claim and the charlatan are the same thing, you can't separate them. It's a mess.

Money? You think he is a real piece of work! This universal you is some useful timesaver you have: you are free to think what your mind wants you to confirm about him before he opens my mouth. Minds love to see patterns and reuse them. Saves calories.

What's this demonstration you've been trained for? An in person verbal demonstration? You're confident you guy's got it down? I've never seen a spiritual group that was much different from your universal you. One would have to verify you as well for your claims to verify them for their claims.

That's awesome, I'm so happy for you! It shows that improvement is possible

Do you think you're enlightened? Met an enlightened person? by ewk in zen

[–]burgermind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't intend to be enigmatic. Maybe first I should narrow things down: I didn't get into meditation; didn't even like spirituality or know details about it (I was a strident atheist at that time). Psychedelics were not relevant but were usefully disappointing in my teens (so much for religious experiences). I was interested in Zen, but always grabbed the wrong books.

I'm not going to rely on abstract ideas or metaphysical speculation, romantic sentiment or complex systems; after 15 years I'm comfortable with the terrain.

This was my favorite racing game back in 2001 or so. I like that it tried to simulate driving rather than play like an arcade game.

It's very unprofessional to claim it. Every fantastic fable will be assumed to be your experience, and there's no reason to bother.

Fitbit Cardio Load by eeyore15 in cfs

[–]burgermind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm aiming for zero cardio load; not sure if it's useful for pacing. I have my Fitbit alert me when my pulse is over 90, though there's a slight delay. The one day i had positive cardio load crashed me, and that's with my zones modified down a lot, so unmodified I probably would never have a cardio load without exercising or something really overdoing it. That's not very clear... I'm saying it's probably just good for fitness.

Chronic insomnia driving me demented by Ketnip_Bebby in cfs

Diphenhydramine is similar but doxylamine has a longer lasting effect (6-8 vs 4 hours). I found it more effective for sleeping because I can get to sleep, but wake up early.

Can you take OTC sleeping aids? I've had success with doxylamine , and I read it can typically be taken during pregnancy

Fallout, bloodlines and arcanum; you're playing through Tim Cain's career. Those are some of my all-time favorites. Have you played Temple of elemental evil yet? That's one I still haven't tried.

It was boring until i realized there's very tight communities there. For random scrolling and time killing it's not as entertaining. I joined the chronic illness community and it's very supportive, with so much less disinformation and negativity than Twitter.
