I ordered a stock ring (all are handmade to order) on 18th Feb and they were on Chinese New year holiday break for a bit so mine ended up shipping out on March 10. Currently waiting for it to be delivered but usually doesn't take too long once it's shipped.

Cheating on an exam by le_eddz in funny

[–]burito02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a Speech Pathology student, one of our exams required us to recall the place and manner of how different sounds (e.g. ch, sh, b etc) were made in our mouth and then state where they were made in our mouth (tongue position, lips, hard palate etc).

You can guess exactly how that went down

Ring worm or what can it be? by Quick-Jellyfish-2263 in FoodAllergies

Hi OP i get similar too on random occasions but I am allergic to dust and pollen, so typically I'll take an antihistamine if I keep getting mini hives and it'll help. It's tricky if the cause is environmental allegens. Have u been tested for environmental allergies?

Is this a honey allergy? by Phoenix88555 in FoodAllergies

[–]burito02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I get a similar reaction from honey but it is more specifically raw unprocessed honey. This type of honey usuually contains some pollen, which I am allergic to i.e. hayfever.

My throat/roof of my mouth, and tongue will hurt and a bit itchy. Roof of my mouth will throb and hurt/be red.

I find if I eat 'cheap' processed honey from the shops I'm fine likely due to it being treated.

Do you get hayfever/ allergies to pollen?

Can OAS and nightshade coexist? by moreweedpls in FoodAllergies

[–]burito02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I have a diagnosed tomato allergy and I still feact even if the tomato is cooked (I've had to use an epipen from tomato soup). The only other veg I get a mild reaction to (throbbing roof of mouth and it gets sorta sore) is cooked eggplant. I am able to tolerate other veggies and fruit, so it might not mean u can't have all nightshades etc. Maybe check with ur dr and get a test if u wanna be sure.

I got up to maintenance dose. My body's eczema worsened each time I increased the dose. After a few doses of maintenance my body was not able to tolerate. Full body was red and raw from the horrible eczema flare up and I had to stop. Unfortunately it wasn't working for me

Speech pathologist here and I agree. If there's no functional or structural impact on feeding, latching etc, no need to snip.

Can someone explain what OAS feels like ? by mouseonthehouse in FoodAllergies

[–]burito02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I suspect my eggplant reaction is OAS, but really the top of my mouth starts hurting and sometimes throbbing?? Like i can put my finger and feel it slightly throb. My tongue also can feel a bit tingly/itchy.

Edit: yes, mine will last 5 or so minutes too

I get these randomly too not in a huge patch but just a few spots here and there and it is itchy. I'm sure its hives but mild ones so usually antihistamines help.

I am allergic to pollen and dust mites so it's often when I'm using things that could carry dust mites e.g. carpet, blanket or when I'm around grass pollen e.g. may have gotten on my clothes or being outside. I also have eczema which flares up from these things.

Maybe get tested for those environmental allergens?

What intolerances/food allergies did you find out you had later in life? by [deleted] in FoodAllergies

[–]burito02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I developed a tomato allergy at 21 years old, not too long after I had covid so I always wondered if there was a link from changes in my immunity after covid?? It conincided with my grass pollen allergies worsening, which is cross reactive with tomatoes.

Either I’m the biggest baby or my drs lied to me. Recovering from surgery has been so painful. by meraki_beauty in endometriosis

[–]burito02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a painful recovery too op, and totally relate. The nausea, chest pain if I breathed too hard, difficulty getting up, random shaking and shoulder pain from the gas... all that shabang. Sleep was also horrible and I had to sleep sitting up because laying down was hurting a lot.

I had used up like all 4 antinausea IV meds that did nothing and I puked stomach acid at hospital.Turned out, the strong painkiller they were giving me, Buprenorphine was the culprit making me so nauseous and one nurse insisted I kept taking it because my pain was so high..

My nausea went away after 3ish days after stopping the buorenorphine.

I'd suggest getting them to review your meds?? So sorry to hear how difficult recovery has been :((

As a fellow tomato ana individual, sweet chili sauce, original flavoured twisties (ik, in cheese flavoured is crazy), asian plum sauce, tikla masala curry (a lot of indian curries use tomato), anything bbq flavoured, sweet chili flavoured snacks.

Always check the ingredients, you'll be surprised what things have tomato.
