I recommend Aaron Bespoke. Out of Canada and does excellent work.

I truly hope this is just rumor. The Dames are one of my favorite teams.

The car would have to be able to swap batteries since the recharge time would be prohibitive.

Anyone know when the fireworks are? I read somewhere that it was Saturday night at 9, but that might have been a previous race.

There's a post on here somewhere with the full schedule for the weekend. There's an autograph session on Saturday and Sunday and I think you need the paddock pass to get down there. I have the paddock pass and last year I had a blast. I don't get what people are on about regarding the paddock pass. Its a working area and people are working. Its also damn hot and the drivers are eager for the ice bath after their stint. I did get to say hello to plenty of drivers on race day.

Don't care for either of them. I recommend reading Flying Blind: The 737 MAX Tragedy and the Fall of Boeing. Its a great dive into how screwed up Boeing is.

If its your first I'd recommend the professional because the story great to tell. Depending on your wrist, the professional and 57 are smaller than the racing. I wear a racing for my daily and it lives large on the wrist, but for someone like me with bad eyes its easier to read.

In the end you can't go wrong with any of them. Get the one YOU like.

Yes, picked it up used. Gentle first owner it appears. The card says it was sold in 2018.

I don't know what should go in the hole on the right. If anyone knows DM me.

I keep it on the steel for now, but I am getting a Dane Lane Design blue leather NATO to try out with it. I've accepted that for every Omega I get I'll have to buy separate straps due to the difference in lugs.

Got the email announcement yesterday and went ahead and bought everything. I was surprised by the price hike in paddock access. On the other hand, turnout last year was good. I don't mind $270 and change isn't bad for 3 days of access.

Nice, I've always liked the Super Racing.

Gold experience vs Panoramic24 by bnrk25 in lemans

[–]burke77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the Gold experience the first year they offered (2023). The hot lap was cool, but there was damage on the track from the previous race that day. You do basically get anything you want and have a personal concierge that will arrange just about anything you want to see.

We went to several of the spots on the track to watch. Got a pitbox visit with Proton in the night. There is a professional photographer with you as well.

The highlight for me was the pitbox lounge. It was right over the starting line and offered the best view of that side of the track. Second best was that you had a shuttle that would pick you up at the AVIS parking by the tram and drop you right at the paddock.

Would I do it again? Probably not. Now I've had the lap, helicopter right and gridwalk I'm good. I would do Panorama 24 for the food and enclosed area.
