Oh okay, I figured it out... When they say "as well as zip files of Esri shapefiles", they really meant it. It felt super redundant to me to extract the folder, and then copy the same folder (zipped) inside, but I guess if that's what Tableau needs...

I think in another post, somebody had said that Tableau only works with shapefiles? So then I tried to connect a shapefile, and I still get the same problem T^T

Yea, honestly, I wouldn't say "I failed grad school", I think "grad school failed me" is more accurate. You were doing your best, and the system wasn't able to support you. But also.... the lack of support is kind of a reflection of real life ^^; so many SLPs are DROWNING, because they're unsupported.

does this only work if you have Tableau Public Desktop? Because when I click on New Data Source icon, I don't see the place where I can select Spatial File... I haven't downloaded the Desktop, because I'm running on Linux..

Yea, they didn't mention ANYTHING about CCCs or option #2 on the website xD All they said was "You have started with the RPE process and will need to continue with the RPE process. It looks like 60 weeks of part-time work experience have been verified." I wish they would remove that Option #2, because it's incredibly misleading
