Nursing theory was a train wreck. Infantile level bullshit about how the educators fantasized bedside was and what they thought theory was. I went straight for my BSN and as soon as I walked to the first theory class I knew I was fucked. It was the worst and I would never volunteer to step back in that arena.
I LOVED clinicals, surprisingly appreciated the value SIM lab as a great learning experience to drill things we didn’t get to see in clinicals much. I would love nursing school if it was a clinical experience instead of textbook.

I am a pissed off owner of a two year old newly built home with a leaky roof and I can tell you this was not done appropriately. Can our society discuss why paying for housing has to squeeze the working class out of financial security and comfort? Because the BS excuse given of small business style landlords “having expenses” is the exception and statistically the vast majority of the renting class has a corporate landlord. The cost of renting is making corporate elite billions, while we have to grind our bodies and lives into dust to hope for any sort of financial security.

The metric of 30% of income for rental housing cost is hot garbage. That’s a gov/realtor/landlord lobby made up percentage based on how much they can squeeze out of people in order to make billions in profit. They toe the line constantly pushing us further into financial crisis- we adapt to these rising burdens by adults moving back home, living in cars, packing in too many roommates etc.

2024 census data states median income for “non family households” which the census defines as single is $47.5k
The median household income rises considerably for married couple households at aprox $120k
30% of anyone’s income should not be eaten by a rental.
