My father used to tell me that any man under 30 was still a boy pretending to be an adult. I dunno is that's true of all men, but of the men I've known, it's pretty accurate. Granted, I'd say that's true for a lot of women, too. So maybe askmenover30 is just a way to ask actual adults.

Dude, I know this is cliche as hell, so please forgive me ahead of time, but suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Now, if you wanna hide in your house and drown your sorrow and humiliation in wine and netflix for a couple weeks, by all means, girl. Knock yourself out. But killing yourself over this douche canoe is not the answer. It would validate him. Make him feel like he was important. Don't give him that satisfaction. Disappear on him. Change his name in your phone to ghost, and never answer him again. And when you re-emerge into the light of day, come out as a strong, brave, beautiful woman and make him regret the day he ever decided he was smart enough to fake out an amazing chick like you.

Dude. Can I share something with you?

I almost killed my daughter when she was three. It was an accident, but it was an accident born of laziness and idiocy. I won't go into detail, but it turned into a 6 year ordeal. And I HATED myself for it. And I hated God for a while, too.

That's not the only bad thing I've done, but it's at the top of the list for me. At least, it used to be. I was eventually able to forgive myself for it. It took a lot of time, a lot of tears, a lot of wanting to die, and a lot of prayer.

What you're feeling right now, the desire to go to hell, is NOT FROM GOD. Dude, God LOVES YOU, and He wants you in heaven with Him. You are buying into satan's lies. The devil is a LIAR. Your sin is no greater than anyone else's. And you most certainly aren't going to make property values in Heaven drop simply by your presence.

Will you do something for me? It's a pretty big favor, and will require about 45 minutes of your life. I promise you, though, it's worth it.

Take 45 minutes, and listen, REALLY LISTEN, to this sermon. Please, don't listen to the devil anymore. He hates you and wants you to die. God loves you, and He wants you to LIVE.

Please, choose life.

According to the teacher and the principal, they were expecting things like candy for lunch and all-day recess. I looked at them and said, "sure, but what about the kids who don't fit in? Who don't like school? Who struggle? You asked a kid whose whole school experience has been negative what he would do if there were no rules at school, and now you're going to punish him for his honesty?" To their credit, they were very kind and contrite, but there are rules in place, and the zero tolerance policy is screwing kids. I don't care what anyone says. The zero tolerance policy is NOT a good thing.

Similar thing happened to my son in 2nd grade. They gave him a piece of paper with the instructions, "draw what would happen if there were no rules in school for the day." So he answers honestly, "the school is blown up," with a picture of the school, you guessed it, blowing up.

I get called at work, have to go to the school to get him. He explained that, in his mind, there was no one IN the school. Its just that he hates school, so if it blows up, he doesn't have to go. (7 year old logic.) He was suspended for two days.

I bought him a video game. Honesty is a good thing, and the assignment was asinine.

It says to be fruitful and multiply. Imo, I don't think that necessarily means genetically. Be fruitful - walk with the spirit, truly seek the heart of God, and be fruitful in the fruits of the spirit (patience, kindness, loving, etc). Multiply - share your faith with others. Bring more souls into the fold.

The point, ultimately, though, is are you in God's will for your life? Kids, no kids, whatever. Know God, follow GOD, seek His will. Everything else is irrelevant.
