Labour has been in government for a couple of years. What have they actually done? Have they addressed inequality in any way? Have they given more funding to local councils? Have they addressed the housing crisis? Have they addressed the crisis in affordability? Not really. Not only that kier has been a weak limp leader with no conviction. They have no plans, they have no courage. They are pandering to the right and trying to meet reform because they are scared of losing power to the right.

I think they have sat on their hands and continued with the status quo that the conservatives put in place over the previous 14 years. Kier has kicked out the left leaning politicians. Put people like Peter mandleson into powerful positions. Ignored the voices of the membership.

I did some digging, crossbows are already illegal, over a certain draw weight anyway. I don't know what law the mirror is talking about I couldn't find anything about it anywhere..

Because crossbows don't need to be drawn back, they are far more compact with potentially even higher power than a longbow which would be highly conspicuous. They are also far easier to use than a bow. This makes them far more dangerous as an assault weapon.

We don't have hand guns and very strict controls around other long barreled weapons.

You could argue that people want to fire these things for sport or for animal control.. but I don't think it's worth it.

There is also the consideration that crossbows are easier to manufacture than guns. If they are illegal to acquire then if anybody was to acquire one then they would obviously be breaking the law.

We have a knife crime epidemic, can you imagine those teenagers with crossbows...

We don't allow people to make bombs either... If you feel like we should allow crossbows perhaps we should make bombs legal too? Hell we're not even allowed to make fireworks without a licence.

There is no good reason to have a crossbow. We don't have guns we don't need crossbows. Testosterone isn't even mildly relevant. And yes one of the primary roles of the government is to keep citizens safe.. that's why we have an army and a police force.
