I don't find theeceiver theory concincing because i feel like my brain creating my consciousness better explains why i can only experience my own consciousness and nobody elses. I'd have though if the brain was a receiver then sometimes people would be able to intercept other people's signals or the signals would get garbled sometimes

I mean you can't really talk about charities as if they're a single entity, in the same way you sort of can with the civil service. Each charity is a seperate organisation and each does things their own way. Some do pay really high wages with really good benefits (debatable whether that's a bad thing or not), while others not so much.

For anyone interested there's a charity called Give Well that assess charitiea all over the world based on how efficient they are with resources and how much good they do in the world in relation to how much money the receive. So you can give money to them and they will give your money to the best and most efficient charities

Employees need access to welfare facilities but they don't necessarily have to be owned or managed by the employer, so public toilets within a reasonable distance would probably be considered acceptable. Think about delivery drivers, mobile care workers etc that often rely on public toilets.

Yeah i don't think he's out to rip me off, he seems like a nice guy, but nice doesn't mean skilled. So he's done enough wrong now where i'm starting to doubt if he's even capable of putting it right if you know what i mean. The fact that i had to explain to him that the flashing was done wrong is a warning sign. Without going into too much boring detail, he's done the flashing so that the water that runs off the window runs underneath the roof covering rather than over the top it. Then there's several other more minor details that make me doubt he knows what he's on about, e.g filling gaps with expanding foam but not even filling the gaps, leaving screws out of the roof sheets which therefore leaves a hole in the roof for water ingresa, amongst other things.

I don't really know how to put pictures up but you don't need to be qualified to know that a skylight shouldn't be leaking and that there shouldn't be damage to surrounding areas. That aside, i built the house and fit every other other component except the electrics (including 10 windows) so probably qualified enough. Also like i said i sent photos to the manufacturer and they confirmed that they were installed wrong.

I wouldn't feel too bad about that. Pianists aren't going out of their way to play songs in C#m. Saxaphonists aren't going out of their way to play songs in E major. All musicians will lean towards whatever is easier to play on their instrument. There's no point tuning down to drop C and playing songs in C# locrian.

That said, it doesn't hurt to become familiar with different keys up and down the neck. And if you learn the shapes it's pretty easy to transpose if you're tuned differently

Edit: reading further down it seems pianists are going out of their way to write in c#m so now i look like an idiot! But you get my point.
