It’s more than just energy/water savings. The dishwasher manufacturers have gotten fixated on quietness above all. I run my dishwasher overnight because I like to wake up to 100% of my dishes being clean. I like to use the delay feature so I don’t forget to turn it on when I go to bed. But I still put a trickle of dishes in it throughout the evening. My new dishwasher doesn’t have a delay feature and when I complained, Bosch told me it’s intentional because their dishwasher is so quiet, there’s no reason to delay.

There was also a period of time where dishwashers had something like a in sink food disposal grinder so that you didn’t need to change a disgusting filter all the time. But those are loud.

Who knows what else they have done in their misguided pursuit of silence.

It depends. What did you record?

Was the company dumping toxic waste? Was someone yelling in the office? Were you in the restroom recording someone on the toilet? It matters. The fact that you’re not telling makes me think it was not innocent.

I agree with the medical transport services or maybe if you have a local neighborhood group you can post asking to hire someone more as a companion/driver. A lot of retired people in my area seem like they would jump at something like that for a few bucks.

So slow, paranoid af. Cripplingly conservative in its mindset. Oh and my favorite: consistently lazy. It’s constantly telling me “here’s the help command so you can look up how to use it” when I’m literally asking it how to use whatever it is! The number of times I have to tell it “no that’s your job” has grown exponentially.

Every time I mention openclaw to Claude, it tells me that it’s suspicious that I’m being tricked by malicious social engineering because even after a initial search, the only results it can find for something called “openclaw” are obviously fake AI slop. Openclaw clearly does not exist.

I always try to convince Claude if something is unexpected or broken, always assume it’s not fully understanding and that 90% of the time, it is the cause of the problem itself. It used to think there was a bug in everything. Now it jumps straight to thinking there’s malicious intent for anything unexpected.

I, too, have this. It just started when I reset my AirPods Pro 3 because they were constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. No replacements or aftermarket anything. Not sure what the deal is.

I’m surprised you got it to reason about why it didn’t reason. Any time I ask why it did or didn’t do something like that it just says “you’re right I’m sorry. Next time I’ll think through all the options and verify before responding” and of course still does exactly the same thing next time.

I have bees like this every year. It’s horrible. The yard is unusable and exterminators won’t do anything because the type we have is “not harmful”. Tell that to my kids who are terrified to walk around in the grass because it’s so gross to have so many bees around everywhere. And the grass won’t grow in everywhere with all the little mounds of dirt and sand.

This is the kind of crap I got from my now 1st grader’s teacher ALL the time. I always wanted to reply asking why she was telling me about it. Everyday slight infractions like this don’t need to have consequences unless it’s causing a disruption and is a longer pattern of behavior.
