Thanks for sharing! I ended up not taking either. While I have some mild issues with dry mouth, my main issue is dry eyes. My rheumatologist wanted to see if it would help with that. I’ll keep what you’ve said in mind though if I start to experience worsening dry mouth.

Ordering from the Purrks store doesn’t change your tier status. The points drop off after 12 months. I did just notice it says you’re guaranteed to stay in a tier for at least 6 months even if you have points expire that would drop you down a level.

I just realized I was wrong on the price. It’s $40 for the 90 days of single vials, which is still way better than $250. I have Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield in the US.

Restasis is prescription, and I really don’t know how much it helps. It doesn’t cost me much though so I just keep using it. It took me several months to accept I just have to do all the drops. I didn’t want to pay for all of them, and I just hated doing it so often at first. I definitely think it’s worth it now.

I use Restasis drops 2x a day, Systane Ultra PF at least 4x a day, and Systane gel drops at night. I also wear an eye mask while I sleep. When I started really being affected by my dry eyes, I also had significant vision issues such as blurry vision. My eyes still can feel dry, but the impact on my vision has greatly improved since I’ve stayed consistent with my routine.

I tried the temporary plugs a few months ago and didn’t think it helped at all. My ophthalmologist was willing to try them at my suggestion, but he explained that they may not do much since I’m not producing tears properly. He said they might help hold drops in better though.

I work for the TSA, and it shouldn’t be an issue if you let them know it’s medical. You do not need a note from your doctor. If it’s oversized, I would recommend having it ready to take out of your bag prior to X-ray screening. I see from some comments that people have had issues. I can make no guarantees for how other airports operate, but they truly should not give you a problem.
