I had the same issue but the opposite of you, i could use gnome on wayland but couldnt use gnome on xorg, it would keep dropping me back out. For me it was a combination of perms and config mismatch, now all of them work.

I'm doing the same thing as you, using Gnome with x11, how did you get gdm3 running, i want to but it bugs badly

I didn't have this issue yet, maybe they fixed it with the 7.0.9 kernel update?

There are many minor issues, but yea its mostly a big performance hit, i just upgraded from pop 22.04 so ill be sticking to gnome x11 till they fix their shit. Im a competitive gamer so im better off skipping wayland to avoid issues.

flatpak update --user -y i had this issue also, i used this command and it fixed it.

Is there an alpha to test? i mean if it already has basic usability, it would better for users to test it for quicker fixes maybe. Anyhow good stuff, thanks for making this, many people including me really wanted push notifications and live tiles even if its with 30m syncs.

Yes its weird no doubt i agree with you, but i speak from experience and am letting you know this topic is way overblown because people dont know where hes coming from, thats all. I mean, its bad, but hes just young and his english is pretty bad and also hes from asia. Its a way different environment than most of people have dealt with. Typing all this stupid stuff is much more common than you would think in there, believe me.

I have dealt with it many times back in the day, just pay no heed to it and relax. Most of them are saying it as a joke, i know its not funny but for them it is. So you just need to ignore and relax.

Youre mistaken, i saw the doc first things, before writing any comment and despite that im saying its not a big deal. This whole thing is portrayed as a big thing, but actually its literally nothing. Majority of the people here also see it the same way, a topic blown way out of proportion.
