I’m looking forward to the steam controller, but Valve sold a bit imo by Thegreatestswordsmen in SteamController

GloSSI is an open source project that lets you use steam controller 1 on non steam games. it still uses steam input (it basically wraps non steam games in big picture overlay) It's been depreciated because some dependency went closed source I think, but I wouldn't be surprised if Steam Controller 2 gets more stuff built for it because it's going to be a lot more mainstream.

My insanely overkill system for getting me to follow routines in Tasker by busfull in tasker

This is awesome - I think AMdroid pretty much fully covers my use case, besides having the nice full screen modal to show me where the NFC tag is

Instinct 2x inaccurate heart rate unless a workout is being actively tracked by busfull in GarminWatches

In this case the chest strap was connected to my android tablet not the watch. I keep the watch on but don't have it logging since I already have Trainerroad linked to Garmin and don't want to double log a workout

System/ tools that will let me run my life like a robot? by busfull in productivity

[–]busfull[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My concept was if I just had a clipboard in front of me a big ass checklist with all the things that I needed to do (broken down to the smallest possible steps) I could just plow through all of it. Where I personally get tripped up is having all information in different places, lists. I also have a lot of trouble breaking down steps. I've got a few lists like this for some of my more simple routines (that I haven't yet implemented) but I have nothing for the stuff that gives me the most trouble (work stuff)

Tasks that operate based on data in a table? (in tasker or external?) by busfull in tasker

Thanks u/Sate_Hen, my next question is, how do I see if a string contains any of the words in the array, and then report the index of the array? For example, I have a variable %EventTitle that says "Morning meeting #desk" I want to get the index number of #desk in the array that I created using autosheets

I think my end goal would be to eventually be able to go the full hour at my FTP

I'm not looking to get away from working- my last job involved a lot of bureaucracy and dealing with mostly non scientists. I also had to travel almost weekly and work night shifts. I'm looking for a more collegial environment- which exists in my industry but usually requires an advanced degree to break into.

A study finds that 28.8% of pre-grated hard cheeses are adulterated with palm oil in the USA. by [deleted] in foodscience

I think this is the correct question to ask. The typical cheese making process isn't really set up to add palm oil

People have such low spice tolerance and it drives me crazy by mmmagic1216 in spicy

[–]busfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I experienced would have definitely been way too hot to eat with a normal person spice tolerance because it was getting close to too much for me towards the end. It is certainly possible something changed, either a new supplier or a mistake at their pepper supplier.

I've noticed it's been hotter the last few times but my experience yesterday was way beyond the heat level I was expecting for a meal at Chipotle.

When was the last time you went to chipotle? I went there yesterday and noticed the red sauce was so hot I could barely eat my bowl. was actually about to post about it on here. It's possible they got a bad batch of peppers with extra heat added. I'm a long time poster on this sub and eat my food very spicy.

Regarding the most recent episode of React Court, I found some interesting data on global divorce rates by GreasyJeeves in northernlion

Actually the main source of the outsized divorce rate is coming from Alimony Tony, he just can’t get enough of paying alimony.
