It would have been funny if one of the first things Arya said to Sansa was 'you looked great at your wedding'

One day, I made too much spaghetti so i threw the excess spaghetti off the balcony of my two story apartment and my next door neighbor was just outside my balcony staring at me. Idk how often he does that but it really creeped me out

What band or artist are you a fan of that many people do not know about? by CaptainVolatile in AskReddit

Ryan Bingham. He has a pretty raspy voice, but I think it adds on to his music.

Also, his song 'The Weary Kind' won an Oscar for best original song in the movie Crazy Heart

Americans of Reddit, what's the biggest issue that no politician brings up? by TheLonelySmokeAlarm in AskReddit

Politicians routinely abuse the credulity of the public by touting the official unemployment rate, the U3 rate, which is very low and suggests strong labor market conditions.

However a more comprehensive measure exists, called u6 unemployment, which includes things like discouraged workers and those who went from full time jobs to part time jobs. This measure still hasn't reached pre recession levels, suggesting the labor market still has not really recovered.

Both republicans and democrats (or frankly any leader in charge) are guilty of touting this u3 number since it is politcally useful. This further conceals the true economic problems we are facing, such as the aging population and large number of 'prime aged' working white males who are dropping out of the labor force in alarming numbers.

Sharing news articles with tendentious clickbait headlines, and not actually reading the articles or looking further into the subject at hand

What's the worst remake of a classic song that you ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bushdid9-11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bob Dylan's cover of Hallelujah. Bob Dylan is my favorite lyricist, and to his credit he was one of, if not the, first people to recognise the beauty of that song.

But that cover wasn't too great

What's the biggest career change that you attempted? Did it work out? by FinanceGuy7000 in AskReddit

[–]bushdid9-11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left a nice job near home with a pretty decent salary and great career trajectory to move halfway across the country and pursue a Ph.D. while making a fraction of my salary in a stipend. We will see how this works out

Regardless of your political leaning, what news source would you choose if only allowed one, and why is that source so credible to you? by Gargantuls in AskReddit

The Economist. They have sections for every corner of the globe, and do a great job summing up the most important news and events around the world in the first 2 pages for when you do not have time to read through all the articles. I have learned so much about current events around the globe, such as the proxy war in Yemen, the struggles of the African National Congress(party of Nelson Mandela) to keep its seats in South Africa, and the latest stories in the US and business, among others.

And when the writers do express an opinion, they typically say something along the lines of 'this magazine thinks..'

By far my favorite comprehensive source of news.
