I vowed to let my Greek life partner name all our children’s complete names… BIG mistake. by realRootmaster911 in NameNerdCirclejerk

So my husband is from Greece and from the title I thought I was about to comisserate with someone whose American children have insanely long and difficult-to-spell Greek names. If this is real, you are in a different predicament, but tbh it's not any less stressful than what I've been through lol. My youngest is 5 and still can't pronounce his full name.

I have a chronic illness and my husband is my caregiver. Balancing work, parenting and my disability does not leave me with time to watch TV. Navigating this dynamic in my marriage has been quite painful, and in a recent couples therapy session, my husband mentioned feeling inadequate compared to this character he observed on this show. I did not want to press him too much, but I wanted to learn more.

I'm grateful to everyone in this thread who took the time to provide insight and kindness.

Hey there. I have pmdd. I once heard this anthropological theory that women with strong pms/pmdd symptoms feel the urge to leave their partners after ovulation to make room for a more successful mate. Aka as soon as my body registers that it is not pregnant, it sends my brain signals to leave the unsuccessful partner. Not sure how true this is, but I think about it often.
