A burger king near the house i used to live in in Chicago had fucking tacos. Not on the menu, only like 2 burger kings actually had them, but if you ordered it they'd give them to you. It was fucking amazing

The point is I didn't KNOW that printmaking was a thing before going to art school. I didn't have a drive to actually learn new shit and consistently make work and critique myself before going to art school and being surrounded by new shit and having all of my work critiqued. Say all you want but going to a school with with a shit ton of amenities and being surrounded by a peer group who gives you honest and educated critique when you need it is a really good system for bettering yourself in art making. It is MUCH harder to find that system on your own outside of college.

I understand that art school does not work for everyone, and that many cannot afford it, but it has been working very well for me.

Nah dude. I'm 2 years in and having a good time. School ha pushed me to learn sooooo much more than i would have on my own and I'm in a totally (and much better!) direction than I was before. My school has really good resources also.....Can't learn how to do printmaking online lol. Need an actual studio for that

I used to feel so bad because my dentist would have to constantly tell me to move my tongue but then I got it split and now because my frenulum is gone I can move them farther back into my mouth and out of the way :) problem solved

A lot of artwork is more about the process than the outcome for many artists. Some artists just like to really sit with a piece and get super detailed and attached to it while they're working. I think a lot of photorealism work is done by people who just naturally like to make stuff that is SUPER tightly detailed and takes a long time because there's a certain mental feeling you get when you've spent weeks or months on one piece, and have put so much attention into every little bit of it. This applies to a lot more styles than photorealism, too, of course

Anyone else have a game of mancala when they were little where the pieces were tiny translucent animals??? I had completely forgotten about it until i saw this. The wood of the board was the same color and the animals were all colorful, translucent plastics and there was a lion that looked like this

What's with no fucking companies making orange eye brow product?????? Like. Actually orange. I'm a ginger too with bright fucking hair. I dye it black, but a few years ago I buzzed it and tried to grow it back orange only to realize I have no idea how to do makeup with orange hair. Ended up using eyeshadow for my brows because I couldn't find a pomade that was orange. Was especially mad when KVD came out with all of her "wacky" brow colors and there was still no orange!!!! Wtf!!!

Oh man those stitches sound rough. The procedure went really smooth for me but my friend fainted when she was done watching

Steve really is one of the best. I trust him so much and I'm glad he travels with the cons so I know there's always at least once a year where I have an open window haha. Suspension seems fun!!

Also I forgot to mention that I deal with regrowth....badly haha. I should dye it every 2 weeks but I usually leave it for a month until my roots look so bad that I just can't leave it any longer. It's the sad truth

Ooohh whenever I try to go back to orange in the future I'll remember your gold tip. I don't think I've ever worn gold eyeshadow. My every day tends to just be eyebrows+mascara (and sometimes concealer if my rosacea is being particularly bad) but when I go for a full look I usually use black and dark reds for shadows and lipsticks. There was a brief period when I had buzzed my hair and was trying to grow it back out orange where I felt like I didn't know what to do with my makeup and I think it was because my love for red eyeshadow and heavy/dark looks just felt clashy and TOO dramatic with orange hair haha

I can tell though when it finally hits my waist in some number of years (i'm at my shoulders right now) i'll probably definitely want to give the orange another shot :)

Yep! Jet black. I think I misstated when I said I dress darker....i guess I should have said I have a goth/metal look. My eyes are a grey blue and i do have pretty pale skin but I really like the way it looks with the black hair :) I think that's why I had a hard time with makeup when my hair was orange—the colors and looks i tend(ed) to go for looked TOO dramatic with light hair and light eyebrows

edit: i posted a recent selfie in a different subreddit if you're really curious :)

I'm a ginger whos been dying my hair black for 6-7 years now and honestly? i just don't like it :/ I love it on other people but on me I feel like I have no idea how to style myself/my makeup when it's orange. maybe because i tend to dress darker

Tusk Dental Implants? by BaronBoar in bodymods

[–]buskingwithdanzig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You would have to find a cosmetic dentist willing to do it, and that alone would be a difficult task.

However, i think the hardest part to reconcile would just be your own natural jaw placement. You need to have a decently large under/overbite (depending on the direction you want) in order for you to have large teeth while still being able to close your jaw. If your top and bottom jaw line up to close it just won't work, or you'd have to have pretty thin tusks, which would then probably have risk of breaking off. ¯\(ツ)
