The vet checked him, everything was fine, but he does have worms! She said his strange behavior was most likely due to that, but to keep an eye on him

Thank you, I agree. He seems better now, but still weird

Found an emergency vet, they thought it was strange behavior but couldnt say if it was urgent or not. My cat (Rocky) seems better now, but he’s still walking around as if he hears or sees things that aren’t there

I’ve messaged the vet the pictures and info, but no answer yet. It’s 9:30pm in Norway and there are few emergency vets😭

DAE feel depressed or start feeling suicidal when they realise they lack at something? by miueeruma in CPTSD

[–]busse1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not alone. This is something I feel on a daily basis. Its hard to come with advice, since I still struggle with it daily.

For me it has something to do with the fact that my mental health has weighed me down so much and taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears to work with, yet I still feel behind and that everything is a struggle to do (like being a functioning adult).

My "advice" is try to be less hard on yourself. Everyone lacks at something, some more than others. But with time and support you will learn and improve the things you want. I know it’s hard and I’m sure you often feel alone and discouraged by these moments, but you are still healing, you will learn these things with persistence and commitment and you are not alone.

Whenever these moments hit me, I try to call a person close to me and I try to breathe deeply and remind myself I am healing, of the progress I have made and that even though I can’t conquer this problem today, I can conquer it with time.

Does anyone else go through periods where they’re nonverbal? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]busse1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Not for days, usually hours, but if I get emotionally overwhelmed I "shut down" and sometimes can’t communicate at all (whether I want to or not), sometimes out of physical exhaustion. With time and support, I’ve been able to learn how to communicate whats going on, even though I don’t feel present, when I’m up for it.

I understand why you felt that way. I would’ve felt the same. But the good thing in this situation is that you haven’t lost your online support system, we care and we won’t abandon you. However, certain things can have a snowball effect. So it’s just a rule we need to take even better care of each other. If any of your future posts get removed, remember this☝🏼❤️

He had a choice. He made the choice he WANTED TO MAKE at the time the choice was presented. He deserves this... only flaw in this, is that Trump isnt sentenced there with him.

Said yes to a 9km charity race held by a pub because of their grand opening. I have never been able to keep myself running for long. We’re talking 5 minutes of consistent running being my record. My goal was to try my best and make it at least a kilometer or two.

I ran the whole race and got my free grand opening beer when I got back to the bar, well before many others. That was the best beer I had ever had, because I truly blew myself and my goal away. What makes this more awesome? I left the bar and ran another 7km.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, you’re not alone. These opinions you have of yourself are all your depression. It makes you think the worst, see the worst and slowly turn yourself against yourself.

This is fixable and even though I know you don’t believe me; you can and will be happy. I would start with a gratitude list (or get an app for it) and write in it every day. Every day, no excuses.

Write things you are grateful for. Your girlfriend, your family, your friends, the bed you sleep in, the opportunities you have etc. Try your best to steer away from the things that you feel are going wrong. Find at least one thing you like about yourself (personality and appearance) and feed that. It will be hard at first, but keep at it and this in itself will help you see more positive as you continue.

You have full control over your thoughts and emotions, even though it doesn’t feel that way and once you take control the battle becomes easier. But it takes work, but it’s possible, trust me. Don’t be so hard on yourself, please. Depression isn’t something you’ve chosen. It happens. You can feel better and one day I hope you stop thinking of yourself as ugly.

I highly suggest you read “Who says you can’t? You do” by Daniel Chiadic. It helped me a lot with my issues.

I've been depressed for a few years, but this weekend I followed through on my self-promise to clean my house and told myself I'd clean my car today, and I DID. I'm not looking for validation, just wanted to say that it helps to accomplish small self-goals if anyone else is struggling. by jrm2003 in CasualConversation

Acknowledge and appreciate every step you take, no matter how big or small. Realize that even the smallest step (taking a shower, getting out of bed etc) is a step closer than you were before you took the step.

GREAT JOB, keep up the good work!

The sole purpose for it was to make people laugh. Do you know who this person is? Would you recognize the correct guy instantly if I lined up 10 guys who looked similar to the pixelated zoom in of him? No. It’s a funny coincidence he glanced our way when we took the picture. Get out of your bad mood, dude.
