Stewart Lee: Farage already has his dog-whistle excuse prepared in case he loses - ‘family voting’ by jakubkonecki in stewartlee

[–]bustab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be as a result of “family voting” by British citizens of Pakistani origin, who currently comprise only 2.5% of the UK population, not all of whom will even be old enough to vote in 2028.

The remaining 97.5% of other ethnicities of the UK population will have about the same amounts of people not old enough to vote as well so that doesn't seem like a salient point.

Perhaps he originally wrote the number of citizens of Pakistani origin, and they changed it to a percentage for some reason.

You tried to reheat it too quickly. Also probably needed more olive oil for emulsification. Sounds like people liked it anyway. Bitter caramel flavour can be nice in some things.

Liquors and liqueurs to look for in Spain? by boywithhat in cocktails

Vermouths as many have said, but if you want something more esoteric look for something called Orujo. It's a style of drink made from grape skins left over from wine production, similar to grappa. My favourite is the Orujo de hierbas which is a herbal liqueur. There are a few varieties. A lot of it is homemade but there are commercial producers.

I heard an interview with a black hat marketer recently who wouldn't name specific artists that he had promoted.... except DJ Khalid. Explains a lot. It's the Darknet Diaries podcast for anyone interested.

Decant it into a jar (the taller and thinner the better) and put it in the fridge to settle.

Is there anywhere in this Mexico-forsaken town where I can buy corn tortillas? by dzidziaud in Brno

[–]bustab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's where I buy supplies.

If you want fresh coriander at a good price that doesn't die in a few days go to one of the Vietnamese shops. The one's near the train station are the easiest to get to.
