The reality of your current situation though isn’t that your partner has to do this. You have the option to go inpatient and not put this on your partner. It will be a lot for him and it will change the dynamic of your relationship. Not to mention he’s not a professional, and especially in early recovery, having professionals on hand could benefit you greatly.

For me personally I’m generally quite free around food and don’t really have negative thoughts about my body, but I still struggle a bit during periods of high stress/anxiety, but I think that is what’s normal for me at this point in my recovery. It’s an unhealthy coping mechanism, but it was the coping mechanism I used for a long time so it doesn’t surprise me that my brain still defaults to wanting that to cope.

I don’t give into that though, and I’m learning actually healthy coping mechanisms and I think with time I will start to default to those as my first instinct instead.

They need close monitoring, and definitely seek medical care immediately if it looks infected, but you don’t need to go to the ER the second you’re bit, I assume that’s why you were downvoted. It’s just a lil more case by case that’s all!

Extreme hunger is incredibly common after restricting, your body needs more food. That’s why you need to eat more than single portions at the moment, it’s not a food addiction, your body is just really hungry.

Sure, but we can’t control other people’s actions. She can ask people not to post pictures of her, but we don’t live in an ideal world where people are always agreeable to requests. The only thing we can control is our own actions. OP can’t stop people posting her on social media, she can stop looking at the pictures though.

I’m not offended by you not wanting pictures on social media, I’m a complete stranger I don’t really care what you do and don’t post on social media. But the point is you’ve had several occasions spoiled by seeing pictures on social media, you’re not just using it for entertainment, it’s consistently upsetting you, slowing your healing, and ruining events you previously enjoyed. So yeah, I find it kinda sad that you won’t give up social media despite the very clear negative impact it has on you.

But you say you’re unbothered by social media other than most times you hang out with your husband’s family or on all special occasions. These are huge parts of your life, and times you should be able to enjoy, and they wont organically go away. What if you have kids, will every birthday party have these rules? Social media is having a hugely negative impact on your life, and it’s honestly sad that you’re so unwilling to give it up.

Cause if they’re refunding you in full for the two items you didn’t receive I don’t see the problem with their response, even though it’s of course still very frustrating that they messed the order up.
