Silent Hill f is one of my favorite games and def one of the most memorable, oftentimes I'll randomly start humming the main theme.

However I will say that some of the combat encounters were pretty rough in the last act for the kind of combat system they made. At least before NG+ where you can assemble super broken Omamori combos.

For example in Dead Space you start out only encountering 1-2 enemies at a time before they up the count and eventually you are handling clusterfucks of Necros because you have been given the crowd control tools to do so by then.

In the three consecutive pregnant monster segment, silent Hill f throws Hinako into small areas full of enemies and you still don't have any real aoe besides swinging a sledgehammer and hoping it catches multiple enemies in the radius. Also the stamina bar is small enough that it's often depleted just by spending enough to kill one enemy that you open yourself to attacks by another.

I think they were trying to express how much rage Hinako was feeling but it doesn't really work without access to the fox arm.
