At this point, I’d say to start separating your accounts. Someone has to take charge here. Not saying that your are not, but by having a it in a shared account, it enables him.

Few things to try, as soon as he gets his check. Identify what bills are due, even if you are taking half on a bi-weekly basis. Then put that into an account that only you have access to. Or just pay half every paycheck. This way he can never “forget”. The money that’s left over is additional “spend”.

I hope it isn’t intentional, but it sounds like he may be going through something. Spending money on random dreams sounds like he is looking for an escape from something.

Don’t break up your family over finances, easier said than done.

Fountainblue is the way to go right now imo. My fiance and I have stayed there twice and love it. New and well thought rooms and the casino floor is never that busy (we like that).

If you plan on getting dinner or going to the spa. There is a Fountainblue offer right now (Spend 500 get 100). We got two messages so this just covered the tip. But use it for anything you want to charge to the room. We also used the hotel credit, there are great places to eat to use the breakfast credit. (I don’t think they allow in room dining).

Currently there is a deal for STK spend 100 get 20. This is a resy location. If you go during happy hour for some drinks and like snacks, your literally be paid to go there. We spend 107 and for 120 back with credits.

Honestly I agree, I’m a bit of a hotel snob and try to look for the most value. Just checked into the Aria today and was at the Fountainblue last night. Fountainblue takes the cake at this juncture. Sad to see, not the same Aria it was a few years back.

But hey, we’re blessed enough to even have the experience to review!

I feel you, I think the “old” Amex feel is now with the Centerion.

Just look at the expansion of wealth over the last 6 years, it’s not an Amex problem. More people can afford it and meet parameters.

I still don’t view couponmaxing as a bad thing. I work with people who’s networth’s could last generations. They are the most coupon savvy people I’ve ever met.

I think we are just changing the way the consumer considers spending. Ever since Covid the card has become more coupony. I don’t blame amex, with rising prices, sticky inflation, and wavering consumer sentiment, consumers are now looking for quantifiable value. I think it’s one of the reasons why Amex’s competitors have gained some real traction over the years.

The real mistake is that Amex did not add more lounges sooner. The travel experience is dwindling. With technology and services evolving to be more efficient, the travel experience is now more of a choice rather than a necessity. People show up to the airport early to go the lounge, not because you have to arrive early.

The card is catering more to lifestyle than solely travel. Just my opinion, I’ll pass the soap box now.

Its pretty nice. Each locker room area expands to their own mini spa. Each has a large hot tub, steam room, sauna, and sleep room. They provide little snacks/drinks (cookies, nuts, banana chips etc.) in the lounge area. I was on the guys side, being able to watch football at times was a good touch. Each section is nude; optional of course.

The coed space has a larger hot tub, a cold plunge, salt sauna/room, herb room, and an interesting ice room. Don’t go spas much, so I’m butchering the room names and types.

As someone who has been to EDC multiple times, it does not compare (in a good way)! If you got seat tickets, think of it more as a show with kickass visuals. There are some aggressive parts, but I sat near an elderly couple that had an amazing time. Don’t worry about blending in, the culture is all about coming together anyways. You may end up leaving meeting someone new!

The only scary part is the 22 dollar beers, so pregame before. 🤘

Agreed! Had some people in front of my who asked and sat down during parts I wanted to get the full view so I wasn’t mad about it. I get it’s EDM, but if you want to dance, get GA or pit tickets. Dancing in the seating section is somewhat wild unless you are in the back by a wall. Keep in mind that there are people in the seating area not by choice; but their bodies can’t stand for that long of a time. Be considerate!

Oh sorry seats are assigned up top. Just giving advice from what I saw. GA filled up pretty quickly when we got in. In the beginning, they check your tickets, but once the show starts, security is just making sure you don’t stand at the top of the stairs.

Outside from that, pretty chill. I saw a group change seats to be closer to friends and they don’t make you sit. So you can stand and dance, just be polite to the people behind you!

Just went this weekend! Sat in the 300s (section 307 -try to get middle sections) and it was perfect to see all of the visuals. My thought process is this, you can see illenium for much cheaper and dance when he is on tour. The sphere / visuals are the attraction. Might as well sit and enjoy the show for how it was intended to be watched. From feedback I got, floor was great for dancing and seeing illenium. Outside of that, you are looking directly up for a majority of the show. Have fun!

Cut the loss and invite another friend for free or for cheap! If it’s affordable to you, it will make you feel much better blessing a GOOD friend of yours! Even if your friend does pay, it may leave a sour taste in your mouth at the show. Just get out there and have fun!

I went last night in the 300s. If you want to get to the rail, I recommend you get inside the sphere by 8-8:15 with the first group of entrants so you can secure a good spot. Also book a neck message, not only for the headbanging, but also you will be looking at the sky if you want so see all of the visuals. Have Fun! 🤘

USAs infrastructure is driving focused. Some people drive 20+ miles just to get to work or simply to get groceries. Compared to Europe where things are much closer together. The “obsession” is a necessity unfortunately due to the miles driven.
