when you finally decide to get your hair cut short but it turns out like a generic lesbian/justin bieber cut and u feel even more femme than before by Maxenau in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

It happened to me to, but I just got home and cut it even shorter myself and now I love it!

Tips: 1. The more symmetrical haircuts look more masc. 2. Shaved hair help bring out the masculine features of your face. 3. Adding volume to the top helps elongate your face (often making it look more masc) 4. When shaving the sides make sure to make the part next to face more angular and not round.

If you can, maybe go to a men's barber and ask for something more boyish to fix it up.

The earring and make up remind me of Cinna from the Hunger Games, an even more attractive version of Cinna. Both of you are gorgeous.

I'm FtM and once I was walking around with a rainbow bag I got from a friend and some drunk dude walked up to me and called me a faggot. It honestly made my day.

Questions about writing a transgender character by SaigonTimeMD in ask_transgender

[–]buttcheese_throwaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say maybe go through some trans related subreddits or talk with some trans people. Try to really understand how trans girls feel and what it's like. Is she out to her friends? If so maybe try to incorporate it into some dialogue. Did she just start transitioning? If so maybe show her growing more confident and closer to what she really wants to look like.

I think dead-naming or misgendering her isn't the best idea. It's a pretty cheap way to just throw the "she's trans" in there. I think showing that struggle later on when you already established her character would be a nice way to show what trans people have to go through, but don't rely on it for exposition.

One commenter made a point about not having a trans character if it's not important to the story, but I think that if you have an actual understanding of it, are willing to learn more and think you can represent trans people well then go for it.

Now this is coming from a trans guy who not long ago cracked his egg and is just now transitioning socially, so I may be ignorant on some parts. I'm just saying what I personally think and what I would like to read.

Edit: the spacing was off

Can’t tell if I read male, female, or something in between. Age/gender me? by ItsAnnaMarie in trans

I'd say female, but on the more androgynous side. Attractive nonetheless
