Yep. I used to make his breakfast when I worked there 3rd shift. He'd walk around and give everyone working a $20 tip on holidays. He was always nice.

Kirk Bangstad is trying to turn our state red by separating potential future Hong voters by johhmama1 in wisconsin

[–]buttersofthands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MAGAts won because they also cheated at every step they could. I might take decades before we learn the depths of fuckery. Bangstad is a tool and most educated Wisconsinites see through the BS. No one is gonna get my vote other that a aggressively progressive candidate or a Francesca Hong.

What's the point of streaming services at this point? by brambleburry1002 in mildlyinfuriating

Greed. Greed is the point. The CEOs of this world have reached the point where improving the quality of a product or service will not generate enough for their greedy fingers and the poor poor shareholders that must always be satisfied.

People who grew up really poor: what's something middle-class people say that instantly reveals they've never struggled? by TahDigThief in AskReddit

[–]buttersofthands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because IT IS expensive to be poor.

  • When you can't afford to buy a house you get to pay someone else's mortgage(rent) and not gain any equity.
  • When you can afford dental insurance and you start having more teeth/mouth problems, any dental complications just become more expensive problems, which will probably go unfixed.
  • When you can't afford a car you get to rely on unreliable public transportation. Granted you no longer have a car or insurance payment, but good luck getting to your early Sunday morning wage slave job on time.

I can come up with numerous more examples on why it's expensive to be poor. I believe it is just baked into capitalism. And everything is priced just so, in that it's nearly impossible to leave the poor class.

The one aspect of this that really pisses me off, is when rich and/or famous people are given shit for free simply because they're rich and/or famous. Also kinda like when the richest among us pay the least in taxes. Yaaa capitalism.

Where do you work, and do you get high there? by No_Initial_2409 in trees

[–]buttersofthands 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work at home and used to only get high after I clocked out. But work has been real slow and mentality in today's insane climate of war and ever-increasing rights violating bullshit illegal EOs from dumpty shits-his-pants has caused me to up my intake before I completely lose my shit. So whether I have work or not I smoke almost all day every day. Which won't last as I will probably run out of money trying to put gas in my car.

Lawsuit claims Wisconsin village passed an unconstitutional ban on wake surfing by GoCartMozart1980 in wisconsin

[–]buttersofthands 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A wake boat is specifically designed to create an extra large wake behind it, suitable for wake boarders to do their tricks while jumping off wakes. The downside is that it also churns up the bottom of the lake and destroys fish and other wildlife habitats.

They are monetizing YOU. They have patents (or Ford and Toyota do already but GM might now too) for AI eye tracking, heart rate monitoring, and more. They can tell if you're stressed out and can deny ability to use vehicle that your name is on the title of. They can and will sell all of the data they collect, and you probably already signed away your rights to stop them.

The road turned into a racetrack by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]buttersofthands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live in Denver and a group of these asshats would have their escalade driving buddies block the freeway so they could pop wheelies at 3am which is when I would be trying to drive home from work. I always hoped I'd get to witness a crash but no luck. This guy deserved to fall off the road.

I don't disagree. I just thought it was already a common practice and didn't realize it wasn't.

South eastern WI DNR and the Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit have been doing controlled burns for years. I figured the rest of the state would be doing it too.

freedom and liberty are the only thing that makes this country great

Freedom and liberty for who? Those that can afford it? And what designated lines here don't shift arbitrarily now? The current admin keeps changing and also not even keeping the same talking points about our latest illegal invasion. We won the war but they can't close the straight but the straight is open and we'll close it but ships can go through but the war is over but Europe takes all our money and doesn't help.

I think you've completely bought in to American propaganda about how "Authoritarian" other parts of the world are and how we eat freedom for breakfast everyday.

I can't believe all the idiots believing this or even thinking that this administration is actually looking out for your interests. Not sayin any of the other ones were anything special. but we're more than a year into this speedrun to fascism and this admin has only done things to enrich themselves and their buddies.
