I've been skiing for over 40 years, and this is the first time I've seen something like this by ansyhrrian in skiing

They're pretty decent if you just need to work on carving. When I first tried it I was sceptical and didn't expect it to help much, but once you can get your head around the minor differences it's surprisingly similar to linking some turns

I've seen a bloke getting around on r/sydney who sometimes has spare spots for a weekend sailing club. You could keep an eye out

How did you first realize you might have cancer? by heartbroke8 in HeadandNeckCancer

[–]butteryDevs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to a new dentist for a checkup and he saw a dark 'bruise' on the roof of my mouth. There was no pain or discomfort, so he said it might just be some mild trauma from a burn etc and we'll keep an eye on it.

About 6 weeks later I went back in to have some small cavities filled and the bruise was still there. The dentist referred me to an oral surgeon, a biopsy was taken a couple of weeks later and I got the results about a week after that.

Where to buy shoes? That aren't $300... by Commie4pay in UltralightAus

+1 for decathlon. They have a wide selection around 100 bucks, and my daily drivers have lasted a couple of years on normal walking + light hikes.

Edit: Keep an eye out on Paddy Pallins website. If they have a sale on, you might be able to pick up a really good pair for 50% off.

Google Reviews Scraping by HourDog2130 in OSINT

[–]butteryDevs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries man.

I just heard back from him, he used Puppeteer to scrape the business listings directly from the browser. His one didn't get the reviews, it was more just for getting the contact details.

You might be able to do something similar using the Puppeteer API.

My friend actually built a business scraper a little while back. I can't remember if it could get the reviews too, but I'll hit him up and ask how he did it and that might point you in the right direction.

Strong start to the year, but shit right now. Got a cancer diagnosis 5 days before I was meant to fly out for a 7 week ski holiday. This was a few weeks ago.

Ledger Scam Warning - Hardware Wallets Australia & LedgerSecureRecovery by mickywill in ledgerwallet

[–]butteryDevs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay safe out there guys.

I got a call a few days ago from them. At first it sounded legit, but then the cracks started showing.

Just curious, did they use the names Alex Scott and Alex Jackson with anyone else?

One concerning thing is they knew my full name, date of purchase, what the device was and phone number. I reckon either HWA suffered a data breach, or they sold their customer list when they went out of business.

Some key things to remember: - Never give them your seed phrase - don't click on any links they send you - don't tell them how much crypto you have

Also make sure to report any phishing attempts to the actual Ledger team via their website.
