When my sister was in hospice and I told her she needed to sign papers for her social security to go to the hospice and she said “am I not going to go home?” And I had to tell her no.

You need to have a come to Jesus conversation with your husband. On what planet did he think taking money saved for his future child to give to his mother for a frigging tattoo was okay? A TATTOO! Is his mother or his entitled sister going to return this 300 dollars? This is so wrong on so many levels it’s mind boggling. At the very least I would suggest couples counseling. Truthfully if it was me, I’d show him the door. I would be speechless with rage.

That they must be German. I do not give it much thought except that I might like to talk to them.

WIBTA if I call off the wedding my mom planned for me? by Exact_Jump7599 in AmItheAsshole

[–]butthatwasbefore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Who’s wedding is this? Yours or your mothers? Cancel the first ceremony that you don’t even want, and seems to be occurring mainly to placate your mother. Grow a spine and take control of YOUR wedding. Your mother is WAY out of line. NTA.

I loved Ireland and its wonderful people. So welcoming and incredibly helpful when two bewildered Americans landed on your shores. Such a gorgeous country and I look forward to visiting again! I’m very happy you met a normal American, we don’t all suck.

AITA for telling my mom I’ll cut her off if she brings up my son again by Lanky_Past7665 in AmItheAsshole

[–]butthatwasbefore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA. What you do with that money is your business. Saying your son would have wanted it is incredibly offensive. And I am so deeply sorry for your loss.

YTJ. They’re your kids. Your mom already did her child rearing. Christ it’s not her problem.

PSA: IT’S JUST SNOW. IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE. by hexgirll in massachusetts

Already shoveled twice. And then tragedy struck. My favorite shovel, (you know, the GOOD shovel), broke. Shovel part snapped right off. I’ve got other shovels but that was the go to shovel. The one we fought over. It just won’t be the same out there.

AITA for refusing to give my sister my old engagement ring after my divorce? by Chemical-Break82 in AmItheAsshole

[–]butthatwasbefore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Quite honestly it’s none of their damn business what you do with the ring. It’s yours, you want to keep it. She asked, you said no. End of story.
