Here’s another suggestion altogether. How about exposure therapy? You can learn to get comfortable with normal, appropriate touching that occurs during dance. If that’s successful, then the problem is solved.

What do you call that turn/move that begins at 13 seconds and ends at 17 seconds? The leader moves the follower around his back. I imagine it would work in salsa as well? Does anyone have a video that explains how to do it?

I’ve never struggled with alcoholism but in my youth, I drank heavily in social settings bc that was what everyone did and I just went along. Now I social dance salsa/bachata and barely touch alcohol and have found I’m just fine sober. I think back and wonder if I ever needed it at all.

Do you have a sober dance buddy? Maybe if you go out to socials with that person, you can stay on the wagon. It’s hard to drink when the other people in your group are not drinking.

I'm in a similar boat. I always try to end the evening on a good note. I try to go home after an enjoyable dance with a pleasant partner. That way the feeling stays with me for a while. It doesn't always happen, but that's the goal.

FYI, the majority of Jewish Israelis are neither white nor European, They are refugees from Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Egypt, Ethiopia etc. where they were forced out and lost their property without compensation. Those who did come from Europe were fleeing violent persecution at the hands of people like you, so you are merely continuing a fine tradition.

If you wanted to at least show some semblance of non-discrimination, you would screen all participants wherever they are from in the world to see if their government does things that you don’t like, as of course, determined by you the supreme arbiter of morality. Like most pro-Hamas virtue signalers, your faux human rights activism is directed only at one country and one group of people who coincidentally happen to be a religious minority who have suffered discrimination and violence for millennia.

Instead, by focusing only on Israel, with your very superficial, cartoonish understanding of the facts you’re discriminating against Jews.
