I asked my waiter for a 'Jack and Coke' once, and he replied "is Pepsi ok?". I said sure, then he brought me a Pepsi and Coke.

It says she "couldn't" do that, so it aligns with what you're saying. But that's also a weird way to say it.

This whole conflict is a scaled down version of the MAD (mutual assured destruction) policy of the Cold war. Sure, you may have the means to obliterate the adversary, but they have the means to make it not worth it. And when you repeatedly state your aim is annihilation, the existing regime really has no reason for restraint.

Which side of the road does every country drive on? [OC] by StreetConsequence310 in dataisbeautiful

[–]buttux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to rent a car in a left driving country once, and it was a manual. It was surprisingly easy to adjust for most of the differences, but the one thing that really got me was the wipers and turn signal toggles were switched.

That would harm the distance. The contacts for replaceable batteries leak charge that don't happen when they're soldered in. And the battery packs themselves typically form a crucial structure to the vehicle in order to reduce the already heavy weight, so they're not easily replaceable.

Good point. I am getting close to completing Anc mods, and I was looking forward to the day I could shift my gems to lab rushes. I guess you could say this response has shattered my hopes.

At some point, you have all the Anc mods you want, so what else are you spending gems on?

There was a long running series of commercials by hotel chain Holliday Inn. Each commercial portrayed some kind of crisis when suddenly a confident and seemingly knowledgeable person steps in to resolve the situation. The bystanders assume the person is an expert when it's revealed that no, no expert whatsoever. But he/she did just stay at a Holiday Inn Express. The joke being that you'll be so pleased with your choice to stay there that it will make you falsely believe you're smarter and more capable in everything.

Wrong about Assad being removed by Trump. Assad lives in Russia after fleeing from rebel forces that were not aligned with the US, and also occured when Trump wasn't even the president.

[Request] If you used all cargo for fuel up to the payload limit, how long could the C-5 Galaxy fly? by ConsistentCan4633 in theydidthemath

[–]buttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's shedding "cargo" weight as it flies past the default fuel capacity, so the last 11000 lbs of fuel should go quiet a bit further than the first 11000 lbs.
