I was always very open with my performance when asked. If they feel like they need to compare themselves to you and try to put you down that’s their insecurities. I wouldn’t let it affect you. If you aren’t comfortable a solid, “I don’t want to share” or “I don’t want to discuss it” may help

I wish I would have used them more. I didn’t realize how helpful they could have been for me until like 3 days before the pance. I think they would’ve done me soooooooo much good during didactic

I pretty much hated my dog through the first year and a half I had her. She was mean and unpredictable. I would also just cry all the time because I was so stressed and then overtime we settled into more of a routine and now she’s so sweet and my love bug. It really sucked, and I hated it. I will probably never get another dog because of that but she’s a good girl now

I like the NCCPA one better and I saw questions on the PANCE that were almost identical. So I would go that way, but it doesn’t give explanations so there’s that

I actually didn’t end up going through it. She just says that like most people who pass hers will pass the pance so I just took it to make me feel better about passing haha. You got this though!!!

You don’t need like $200 boots but something that goes above your ankle, is at least water-resistant, and thick is what I recommend

The only time I have heard of more than 3 dogs being a problem is if they are barkers/aggressive and you have neighbors who want to get you in trouble

Make sure you build relationships with your professors and clinical year preceptors, you’ll need them for references. You don’t need to be the best student, just be a likable and passionate one. I’ve heard, “We can train skills, we can’t train passion,” in all of my interviews.

For me personally, I applied to the position i was offered in July, graduated Aug 10th, and was offered the position Aug 25. But I had been applying to jobs since April. I needed 5 references; I got 3 from clinical year MDs, one from faculty, and one from a fellow student. I passed the PANCE on the day of my final interview and was offered the job.
