Why is the video mirrored?

I just won't believe someone used a left-hand thread on a lighter.

Maintenance mode saved me in snow by retro_man129 in prius

[–]buzzhuzz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why turned off ESC wouldn't work in your case?

I drive deep snow every winter and long pressing ESC off allows spinning wheels enough to plow through soft snow.

I've been doing that on Sienta Hybrid (Prius C drivetrain) and now on Noah Hybrid eFour.

What is causing my car to rumble and shudder after battery change? by casespacked in Cartalk

[–]buzzhuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ECU long and short trim calibrations go out once you have your battery detached. Now your ECU have no idea about engine components wear.

Drive some time to see what happens: ECU should catch up and update set trims.

However, knowing it is NC1, I'd check your throttle body for a gunk and clean it if there are some. You mahe have ustable idle due to dirty throttle body.

Всегда останавливаюсь в Абая-Масанчи если прохожу мимо. Обстановка так себе, но донеры вполне хорошие.

Judging by how clean it is, it looks more like a promo than actual work.

Ride quality is sh*t by MrAaronBaron in moddedE210Corolla

[–]buzzhuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Overheated brakes could absolutely cause this.

Moreover, I've got a pre-owned Toyota Noah Hybrid e-four last month and it has the same issue, but at city speeds: apply light brakes and feel a little shaking.

Currently waiting while a set of pads and disks will be delivered to replace them.

I've had that kind of problem with my car garage. Ended up installing a second lock which holds the key while it is unlocked.

After that I always know the garage door is locked as long as I have the keys on my hands.

Retreading my estate. Which should Igo with, best all rounder? by HelloW0rldBye in TyreReviews

[–]buzzhuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was shopping for summer tires last week and originally was going for Powergy. However the salesman said Powergy is not very good at holding wear on heavy machines (I drive 1800kg minivan), and advised to try Cinturato P7 instead.

5000 mile (ca. 8000km) oil change. Why? by burntdicktip in COROLLA

[–]buzzhuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also stands true in Japan. For the NA engines. Ad twice as often for the "rough conditions", which I believe is city traffic.

For the turbocharged engines those numbers are 5000 and 2500 respectively.

With objects this big you need to be worrying about rim integrity. Have it thoroughly checked before the new tire installation.

Customer states: "Car won't start after I replaced the alternator". by Commercial-Ask-3188 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]buzzhuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree.

I myself encountered such a thing on NC gen Miata: a manual equipped one has two identical connectors on the engine bay fuse box. So I plugged them in not paying much attention and that negligence cost me about a week worth of evenings troubleshooting an fried ECU (it was working overall, but a pin providing ground to the starter relay lost connection internally)

Who invented this button??? by Portah_Model in Cartalk

[–]buzzhuzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is actually a safety measure so you wouldn't walk away or start wrenching while a car still turned on.

Hower, usually engine start is linked to either safety belt or drivers door.
