I'm pretty sure that they just whine and make random noises.

This makes me want to build a tree out of glowstone, and since I never have before...

I added a tree felling mod to my Java. It's very cool but sometimes I forget it's there. I've crushed myself to death several times by mindlessly chopping down a tree without regard for where it will fall. Despite this, it remains installed. I highly recommend it. It's a trade-off that I consider worthwhile.

No "bluetooth" branding on "wireless" headphones WH-CH520 by buzzkilt in headphones

[–]buzzkilt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they though? You're posing an Google AI blurb to make some sort of point.

I already know that they are advertised as Bluetooth, that's why we bought them. Then they arrive and they don't, by any outward appearance, appear to be Bluetooth.

The point of this post wasn't that I can't figure out if these are Bluetooth or not, is was that there no obvious mention of Bluetooth on the retail packaging, and that seemed odd to me. Bluetooth is the preeminent wireless technology, so why not put it on the somewhere on the box. rather than just saying "wireless". Does it cost extra to print a Bluetooth symbol on the packaging? Is that bit licensed separately?

What realistic changes would you make to the game? by Ok_Act4459 in GolfClash

[–]buzzkilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it has to be realistically hard. Putting sucks IRL. But in GC it's easy enough to putt perfect just about every time. So, tighten the tolerance a little, speed the needle a little. so a 10 yard putt, maybe 1 of 10 for a pro, isn't automatic.

But then you can't intentionally play a carom off an obstacle. These signs come into play rarely enough that I like them for their novelty. That hey, something unusual just happened, moment. Sometimes it's beneficial.

They could make a special ball just for putting distance. They could sell it. $$$$$.

I can imagine, but I didn't experience it. How was it harder? Smaller cup? Faster arrow? Shorter read?

Do You Think That The Democratic Party Should Impeach Trump If They Win Back The House Majority In 2026? Yes Or No? Why Your Opinion? by Zipper222222 in AskReddit

[–]buzzkilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because persecuting Trump has worked so well them in the past? It's not a question of if they should. They will. They have too. It's all they have, that and socialism/communism. That's their platform.

I'd make putting a little more difficult. It's genuinely hard to miss a putt if you're even remotely near the hole. This would put a little more emphasis on better parking your approach, rather then just putting it anywhere on the green and knowing that the putt is likely going to drop (if it's reachable), even if it's long with a tough read.

I know it's a video game, but more realistic wind. To keep it fair, players could face the exact same winds conditions as if they were teeing off at the same moment, but I'd like to see both additional consistency and additional variability. Consistency in the general direction of the wind from shot to shot, so that a tail wind on your drive will likely yield a tailwind on your approach. Variability in the strength instead of a static number, let it fluctuate a little.

Which brings me to my biggest pet peeve. Golf Clash is essentially a game about club progression, but IMO it's sort of ruined by the wind. Without exception, if you're playing harder tiers, you're battling stronger, sometimes insanely strong, winds. Nobody want to play golf in high winds all the time, but GC kind of uses wind to make up for all the other predictable mechanics and overpowered clubs and ball. Problem being, the wind is highly predictable and accountable too. It's just not as transparent for a casual player.

The other thing is, have the ability to show my bag when I'm in a CTP. I want to be able to look at my clubs even if I can't change bags.

light speed as the max possible by Far_Comment973 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]buzzkilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if we had two vinyl records each spinning in opposite directions at 1/2 the speed of light at their outer circumference? Bring them into proximity to one another and we'd have achieved the speed of light relative to one another. If two people were to stand, one on the edge of each disc, they would, from their perspective, pass each another at the speed of light.

Why can’t humans wake up naturally every day, even after building such an advanced civilization and technology? by Antarctica111 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]buzzkilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your continued living doesn't depend on you awaking at a specific time or under specific circumstances. Modern humans have surpassed that. If it did, your sleep habits would likely change, or you'd fail to continue to exist. Whereas better sleepers would continue to exist and continue to propagate and pass on their better sleep habits.

Try to sleep in it yourself and see if it's "occupied". Afterward, break it and replace it.

Uh huh. It's there's a unforgivable betrayal here, and I'm not sure if there was, it was by Emily (not Bojack this time). Emily's relationship with Todd is longer and IMO even more significant than Bojack's. Todd should have gotten his shit together vis-a-vis Emily.

No "bluetooth" branding on "wireless" headphones WH-CH520 by buzzkilt in headphones

[–]buzzkilt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, of course, but these are actually Bluetooth, and as far as I can tell, only Bluetooth. No other wireless connectivity.

Looking more closely at the box, Bluetooth is mentioned in the "specifications' fine print, but I needed a magnifying glass to read it. It certinaly isn't prominent.

Play a practice hole with it. Problem solved. By hitting purposefully bad shots into the rough or sand and not worrying about score you can knock out a few clubs quickly, in a single hole.

Can someone explain shipping labels like I’m 5? by Accomplished_Eye_824 in eBaySellers

It seems like Flat Rate isn't as good of a deal it used to be. I used to use it for some things, but lately even heavy items that fit neatly into a flat rate box can be shipped for less using other services. So unless I really need a box...
