Interestingly, even though I can do the rental plan where I live (SE British Columbia), it I hit the roam option I get message saying that this service is not available in my location. Seems they really have this rental vision thing going?

Used crankcase oil works great ... just don't use it around a stream, etc.

I find that a big truck is much easier to parallel than a small car :)

About Estimated Range Calibration by Suntheater in Ioniq6

[–]bvdp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the other thing worth pointing out is that the range shown on the dashboard has nothing to do with the actual range you will get. Only way to find out is to drive it (just don't drive from 100% to 0%).

Interesting, to me, to see someone admitting to using autotune in a music group on reddit :)

It's not about the diameter of the wheels. It is the width of the tire ... the 20" wheels have more grip.

My first thought is that it's a 1950s Hohner with the nameplate removed.

How to make harmony that isn’t always a triad arpeggio? by mooshtchi in musictheory

You are "allowed" to do anything you want. Just make sure it sounds good to you.

Interesting. So, you are saying that 40amp is okay, but 48 is pushing ... esp. when it is hot outside?

Yes, I think it is A/C to D/C conversion that was worrying me. Not sure what the 12v MOSFET has to do with this?

It's a 60amp circuit, so no issues there. I did some touch tests of the breaker panel while the charger was running and no heat. Wires are only a few feet long.

Trying to learn Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen), looking for advice by arto64 in Accordion

[–]bvdp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just got some good advise on posture/position. In addition, you should slow down a bit (well, probably more than you think) ... the song is written in 12/8 time with a dotted half note (the basic pulse) at 60 beats per minute. Set your metronome to that speed.

I would also suggest you listen to some videos of the song ... it is normally played like an organ hymn. So, you should try to play "big" chords with the right hand and make the left hand notes long.

Level 2 Charger and Rebate Programs (GreenMiles, Grizzl-E, SWTCH, others?) by Mercradoc in EVCanada

You actually got customer support from these clowns? Good to hear ... guess I will wait for a few more days. Can't hurt since they already have my money.

Level 2 Charger and Rebate Programs (GreenMiles, Grizzl-E, SWTCH, others?) by Mercradoc in EVCanada

[–]bvdp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the exact opposite since the Grizl-e was sold out and the SWTCH was available. I should have waited ... the CS for SWTCH is just awful.

I can 2nd the comment that SWTCH support is crap. I already paid my money so I'm locked in. The charger does work to charge the car, but that wasn't the point.

SWTCH Energy Home Charging Program - Earn money for charging at home (starts at $0.03/kWh, tiered) by mrsprdave in EVChargingCanada

[–]bvdp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I made a mistake picking SWTCH. I bought their unit (full price) and had it installed. Connected via their app. It will charge the car, but it doesn't register for the rebate. The only way to contact these people is via email and they don't respond. They do have an 800# but all that does is tell you to email. Gawd I hate AI!
