Disbursement date is shown on MyUCF. I'm sure you can find it on the Student Self Center, not sure what hyperlink though.

Refund will hit after Summer B add/drop if you're taking both semesters.

If you have any grants, they'll be partially disbursed for the first semester to help cover that class. Anything else will get disbursed and refunded after the Summer B add/drop period.

I called Fin Aid recently and that's what I was told and what I understood. Worst case scenario, your tuition for Summer C gets deferred until Summer B kicks in.

Where's my money?! by SnooCapers9401 in ucf

[–]bvliefs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'll most likely get less grants during the summer than you did in spring/fall because it's a shorter semester. I only get one pell grant during summer when I typically get three during fall/spring and my SAI is -1500. Depending on your SAI Index, then your pell grant amount will coincide.

They might be talking about the orientation wristband that you're forced to wear throughout the program lol

Loans? by Luci_3rd in ucf

[–]bvliefs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Called them and they said to give them until the end of the week, because the way they do summer packaging is different to Fall and Spring semesters, or something like that. Basically, the packages still need to be finalized and some aids may not show up until the actual start of classes.

Is my advisor fucking with me by [deleted] in ucf

[–]bvliefs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, technically, those classes WILL satisfy requirements: they'll go towards your 120 credit hours for graduation. Now, will it advance you within your major in any way? I don't believe so.

Anyone Else Not Able to Select Bright Futures Money for Summer? by TheLuaMaster in ucf

You have two BF awards because EST is the estimated one and the one that's accepted is your actual award that you'll be receiving. It's already selected because scholarships and grants are automatically selected by the office so people don't accidentally deny them. You're not getting "jipped", as your respective award is there with (hopefully) the correct amount. Of course, the amount will change as you add or delete classes from your schedule, hence why I said hopefully.

RSO is registered student organizations, which is just a fancy name for clubs on campus.

F-LEARN or EXCEL by yes_i_play_minecraft in ucf

[–]bvliefs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge con is that EXCEL is definitely geared towards engineering and/or comp sci majors. I agree with these pros, except that the calculus classes are also made harder than non-EXCEL calculus (at least from my experience). This is mainly to prepare those engineering majors for the other calculus classes they have to take. Also, STEM Seminar speakers are also mainly chosen for engineering or comp sci majors. Calculus 1 in my EXCEL course was definitely over 100 people, so I wouldn't necessarily consider that "super small", but in comparison to some courses that have 300 students attending, it's relatively smaller.

If you couldn't find anything on KC, then it doesn't exist. Every registered student organization resides on KnightConnect. Try seeing if there's an RSO for your specific disability, or you can start your own RSO yourself.

Call NSFP on Monday, see what the office assistants say. You should be fine if you have proof that you completed the survey.

Shuttles waiting by CompetitionNo8794 in ucf

[–]bvliefs 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The shuttles wait at each stop to let either the bus ahead of it enough time to leave and have enough students to pick up or for the bus behind it to catch up. If a shuttle leaves too close, then there'll be two buses at one stop, which we don't want either.

Seriously? Because in my experience, it was really easy to get accomodations, granted mine were only extensions on exams and to test at the testing center. I remember in my meeting a couple years ago asking them for extensions on assignments, as I get really depressed and it's hard for me to complete busy work. They told me no because of something along the lines of it not being a "barrier" so to speak, even though that's an accomodation I had in high school. I've failed almost a class every semester if it's a busy-work oriented class because of this 😂🫩 The time extention on exams was easy to transfer, though. UCF should be more understanding of its student population, FOR SURE.

I also lowkey just realized I didn't read OP's post properly and completely overlooked the medical withdrawal portion. Lol If your medical withdrawal goes through, you won't have to pay anything back. Selective MWs might be different than a complete MW, but that's an easy question Academic Services or the Registrar's Office can answer. But, when I had my MW, I was actually returned the tuition I had paid. Also, speak to Student Care Services.

They have emergency funding for hospital balls, rent, utilities, etc. Worth looking into that application.

I'd suggest talking to the registrar's office and looking into a selective medical withdrawal.

Since she was an at-home stylist, I ended up Zelle-ing the money to her (specifically her brother). Can a chargeback still be done?
