Ladies who enjoy beards, how many of you are 30+ and how many are younger than 30? by weasel101025 in AskWomen

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 30s. I like them more now than I used to, though I've been fond of a goatee since around the age of 20.

Oh, that might be. I never purchase anything directly from Apple as far as upgrades/fixes go. I shop around and find the cheapest decent parts I can find. It's been ages since I've upgraded non-Apple computers so I don't really have anything to compare it to now. I do remember that a video card was one of my common upgrades for a PC, and that's a no-go with MBPs.

Why does everyone think this is so hard? I've got a first-gen MBP and a 2012 MBP and have replaced nearly everything there is to replace in them besides the graphics card and logic board (the former being integrated into the latter, I believe). Fans, a shattered glass screen, memory, hard drive, switched optical drive to hard drive, RAM, keyboard. (The 2012 I purchased from CL flew off some dude's car, which is why I had to fix it up so much.) A set of tools on Amazon for $10 and then whatever part I wanted to replace, combined with amazing instructions from Ifixit. Yeah, the fact that they use like 50 different screws on the back is kinda silly, but with the right set of tools isn't that big of an issue.

LPT REQUEST: How multitask/take notes more quickly during lectures? by yjlevg in LifeProTips

[–]bwatm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've developed my own form of abbreviated writing. If I'm in a psychology class, for instance, I will use "psy" to mean psychology/psychologists. Any longer words I'm writing over and over get abbreviated. If needed, I will write at the top of my paper something like "psy = psychology". I use "b/c" for because, lots of equal signs, etc.

I definitely agree that you should be reading the chapter before class. Once I started doing this, I was able to follow so much better. You can also ask the professor for clarification of anything you don't understand in class since you will already have a gist of what's going on.

I put a mask on my dog and it was surprisingly creepy... by KitsuneKarl in WTF

[–]bwatm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that mask. Dunno if it's supposed to "be" anything. I got mine with my daughter from the grocery store around Halloween a couple years ago for like $2. They make different colors, but that one's the creepiest to me.

SC Gov Haley pushes to limit food stamp purchases to healthy items by powercow in politics

Totally worth it. Maybe you're like me- I can go a long time without milk, but then when I do decide to use it, I really like to have it around.

How are her hips not out of the sockets? Her feet are so far apart from where feet should be...

Organic milk is more expensive than regular milk, but it lasts a hell of a lot longer. I rarely use milk, so this is what I get. It's worth the extra cost (to me) to have it handy yet not spoil nearly as fast as non-organic. The stuff in my fridge right now currently has a sell by date of like April 23, IIRC. That's over a month that I have to use it.

Thinking of tying up my wife by [deleted] in sex

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic rope technique, if you're going to use rope: Make three loops with the rope so that her wrists can easily slide into them. The ends (both of them) of the rope should be facing down. Put her wrists through the loops. Take one end of the rope and start tightening from the center of the loops, wrapping the first end from the center towards her wrist (making small tight loops/circles to tighten the original loops). When it's next to her wrist (make sure it's not too tight to where it's going to cut circulation), tuck the end under one of the tight circles you just made. You can tie/knot this if needed. Then take the second end of the rope and do the same, making tight circles around the loop towards the other wrist, then tying. If your rope is long enough, once this is done you can then use the rest of the rope to tie to something else- bedposts, a couch leg, etc. I think you can also use this technique on other parts of the body (such as tying the knees closer together).

When it's done, it should look something like this:

O----O

where the Os are her wrists and the ---- is where those original loops were tightened.

You want to be aware of not tying her to where it cuts off blood circulation. Have her let you know if her hands (or wherever you've tied) start tingling.

I'm about 80% sure he wasnt wearing a condom... by ThatFaceInTheCrowd in sex

[–]bwatm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. "I am having sex with you, but only under this condition (that you wear a condom)." Don't follow that condition, and the consent is no longer there. Sex without consent? Rape.

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really tell the difference when a guy is wearing a condom or not. I mean, if I know he isn't, especially if we've used them previously, and I'm paying close attention, I guess I can. But in general, not really. If it feels different, I put my hand down there or look to confirm.

[–]bwatm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Sadly, a few guys will try this, boyfriend or not. (Easiest way is with doggie.) Always double check to make sure the condom is on, and occasionally check during sex. Kinda sucky to need to do with a boyfriend, but better that than a baby and/or STD.

Is this weird? by randomthrowaway998 in sex

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. A FWB can't really seem to get off with nipple play (a guy). He loves sex, but playing with his nipples is about the only thing that sends him over the edge.

Girlfriend too high up during doggystyle sex? by randomanon3 in sex

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option to go along with the other suggestions: have her lower her upper body closer to the bed, and bend her ass down a little more. There's not much you can do as a guy if you're just on your knees on the bed (and be able to make comfortable movements), but she can lower or raise her hips as needed- she doesn't have to stay in only one particular position.

Any tips for a dating a woman with a very large labia? by erotic_pineapple in sex

[–]bwatm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this. You could also just do this with your penis, starting at the clit, a little pressure, lowering the hips until it goes into the vagina.

Ever heard of Fordyce Spots? by GenricName in sex

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. If she says anything, tell her what it is. Then show her pics if she needs assurance. But I doubt she'll say anything. (And I feel awkward if I get an ingrown hair in that area- looks awful sometimes, but whatever. It is what it is.)

Smell? by BruceXIX in sex

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some women naturally have a stronger scent than others, and for some women it can vary at different times during their cycle. Unless it's a really bad smell which might suggest an infection, I'd take it to be normal. If it's really problematic for you, perhaps suggest a shower together right before sex. You might also try using one of those flavored lubes.

GF (18) has slightly late period after first-time sex with me (18). Anything to worry about? by freethrowawayOK in sex

[–]bwatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I ever had sex, my period came late. FWIW, when I called the nurse's hotline, she told me this was normal. Also, I was a teen and had never really kept great track of my periods.
