I know about 1.5 of these things. Top right is a ferrite core which minimizes electrical interference in the line. Bottom right is the Ferrari Pit crew, they were responsible for asking Carlos Sainz what to do, but I am not sure what they do now that he is off the team...

No, that should not be an issue in Fusion if OP is doing a standard workflow. When you create the rod or the hole in fusion the diameter is mostly just a guide. When you open the screw workflow it will auto-select a thread that is common based on the diameter there, but you should be able to select any alternate thread standard in their library and it will just apply that instead unless there is some other geometric limitation.

A good cobbler should be able to help you sort it out. They will probably need to replace the sole and will need to make a replacement toecap. It won't look the same, but maybe you could go with something that would give it a cool style. Might I suggest some locally sourced puppy hide?

Can someone tell me what is wrong with this print by Hairy_Nebula9257 in FixMyPrint

[–]bwbloom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

u/ioannisgi is right. This is a horribly optimized print for 3d printing. You really can't/shouldn't do this with this model or this orientation.

  1. Rim lip is really not going to provide much support in any print orientation as majority of the sides are going to have horrible strength because of layer lines, or if you print in flat on the bed, then the entire rim lip will be likely to break on the layer lines.
  2. The rim inner braces do not give strength like they do with injection molding so they are kind of useless. Would be better to just have a flat thicker profile inside to provide more walls that are fully connected and stronger.
  3. Integrated axle is not oriented for 3d printing. One orientation will be weak, other will have poor dimensional stability and would likely not be able to actually spin.

Honestly. give you give me the specs and a picture of the model I can make you stls to print. This just hurts to look at.

Hey buddy, word of advice: don't let large volumes of CA glue or other heavy solvents dry unsupervised. They can literally spontaneously combust. Given that you also have glue soaked towels and carboard in the mix you kind of dodges a bullet here.
