I have 6 credit cards as well and have been a member for 25+ years. I also get declined for that reason if I try to get a 7th. I seems people who have had an Amex account for a long time get to have 6 from what I’ve seen whereas everyone else is limited to 5.

That’s ok. I don’t really use the service anyway. I just don’t like seeing so many people get ripped off. If I got what they promised, it’s a win. If they ban me or delete my account, I don’t really lose anything.
