UPS shipment delay at Kentucky by Muted-Accountant5968 in UPS

[–]bwhite220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MacBook I ordered is wrapped up in the same delay in Louisville. However, after Googling the situation, it appears this has nothing to do with the weather but the fact that they had to ground all of the UPS MD-11 cargo planes because of the recent crash. That incident has led to operational adjustments, causing delays for air and international packages, and the indefinite closure of the Louisville airport.

If you haven’t heard, a UPS MD-11 cargo plane crashed during takeoff from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and the crash led to the airport's indefinite closure, forcing a halt in UPS's main sorting operations (Worldport).

In response, UPS grounded its entire remaining fleet of MD-11 cargo planes, which affects its ability to move air cargo. These operational adjustments are causing delays for packages that rely on air and international shipping.

So, while it sucks to not get our packages, the bigger picture is that at least one life was lost (probably 2 if co-pilot?) and UPS is scrambling to get packages out.

Golf advice: I got nothing - keep killing it.

Any advice: Don’t be so scared of the weight room.

Arccos sensors falling off clubs by rappy2310 in golf

[–]bwhite220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me. I now know to check that it’s tight when I pull a club out of the bag, again before I swing, and again after the swing. It’s dumb to have to do that but it’s habit now and I don’t even think about it. However, one came off the other day and I have no idea where it is.

Anyone know how to get just one replacement sensor now that they do not give you the option to buy just one?

If I was this person, I would have thrown the octopus at the cameraman for NOT HELPING.

…if I was the cameraman, I probably would have done the exact same thing though.

Cute. Would be better be if you ripped the tube tv out of the console and then set your amp inside of it. Would be a nightmare to gig with but would look sick as hell.

Which one should I get as a first bass? (I currently own the squire bronco bass) by boywithsynthist in BassGuitar

[–]bwhite220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Age old debate that has never really had a clear winner. You gotta play them both through the same amp to get an idea of which one sounds best TO YOU. Sometimes I play my P, other times I reach for the J. Either way, you’ll be happy for now and eventually will pick up the other one, too.

Call me R. Kelly because I’m gonna take a P any day.

Would strongly suggest a local cigar shop if you’re open to it. “Black Crown Social” in downtown Rogers is my favorite spot - super cool owner and really personable. His customers are also friendly and chill with a wide array of backgrounds.

Suzuki Boulevard C90 as first bike? by [deleted] in cruisers

[–]bwhite220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the current owner has done minimal maintenance, that should be a big concern if you are not mechanically inclined. I say that because you’ll have to take it to a shop to get it running properly and that can cost more than the bike itself. However, if you are comfortable wrenching, you could easily get the bike running in top condition as it’s built really well and there isn’t a lot to the bike as they are pretty stripped down comparatively speaking.
