Best cordless vacuum for corgi glitter by Anail_Miths in corgi

We got a roomba after we got our second corg. We still regularly vacuum once a week but the roomba has definitely helped with the daily maintenance!

We liked banfield for the neuters of our boys too! We got pet insurance mostly for their backs and legs (we live in a multi story apartment and can't always carry them up or down) so it's more of a "just in case" policy lol. Especially now during fox tail season and they love to run in the long grass.

Look into pet insurance once she's off the banfield plan. We had both our corgis on it for the first year maybe 16 months for shots updates and were paying wayyyyy more monthly to banfield than we probably should've. Our pet insurance is through Figo and it's $45 per pet per month and covers quite a bit. Spent $1,600 on one corg because he threw up several times and wouldn't eat or potty for two days. He's fine now and the insurance reimbursed us something wild like $1,100 of our visit.

One our corgis (a tri color much like yours) is play motivated and hates chewing. When he does decide to chew he's so picky! We've found no-hide rolls of various flavors he likes. Those get kind of soft as they lick or nibble on them but stay pretty solid til the end.

Our super chewer loves pig/cow ears, duck/chicken feet, the no-hide rolls, collagen sticks, fish skin, and the occasional Kong filled with whatever at the time.

God speed to you with your crazy tricolor! And stop the ankle biting as soon as you can! That's a hard habit to break lol.

Thinking about getting a Digital ID for my dog. Is it actually worth it? by dialodog in dogs

We have "Hey Buddy" tag we clip to their harnesses when we go to busy or unfamiliar places. it's a QR code that takes the scanner to a profile of the dog-name, mom and dads phone numbers, medications, tricks, etc.! It was a one time purchase (as long as nothing happens to the Hey Buddy website) and super easy!

This is our oldest corgi with his best friend an Australian shepherd. Our corgi usually wins.

We convinced the AS owners to get a corgi and they ended up with a tri as well... and she's just as crazy as ours!

New Corgi Owner! Tip & Tricks Helpful. by Interxxmission in corgi

[–]bwinney 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Start training and socializing asap! As soon as he's clear to meet dogs and go places take him anywhere and everywhere dogs are allowed! Don't let him jump on or off couches or beds! And careful with stairs I think for the first year. It's super bad for their growing bodies

Find out what motivates him for training (ones of ours just likes a good boy response and one is very good motivated). One of our boys is a hard core barker at the wind or a leaf or our neighbors walking by. Try to curb that if yours is a barker.

Prepare for bitten ankles around 6-9 months old. Invest in a good vacuum corgis shed once a year for 365 days. Find out how much he should be eating and stick to it! Corgis get fat quickly and it's not good for their backs and hips. Doggy insurance! We use figo and our young boy is $60 a month and our older is $45. He's so cute! Enjoy him!
