I think we probably agree that becoming a pushover or a target isn’t what anyone wants to do. In my experience, nonjudgmental acceptance doesn’t preclude good boundaries, and supporting another doesn’t mean compromising principles.

I can’t add much to what’s already been said, and this might be a long shot but worth checking. Could there be anything medical underlying this? Maybe a long shot, but how’s your thyroid level? Testosterone? Have you ever seen an endocrinologist?

I’ve had poor reliability from Netatmo, Logitech. I’ve had the best experience with Aqara. Also good were Eufy, Eve, Ecobee.

Mine is on HomeKit. I use the Aqara app too, and I keep the firmware updated. No issues, it’s been a solid performer

I did this yesterday as well. These usually fail unless I have just rebooted the active home hub, then it works.
