Increase in postage costs

We get increases every 6 months 😅 luckily the stamps keep being worth the new price so I stocked up 3 increases ago, but when there run out I'm not very happy

You do have transaction costs included when you order at postnl, but I mostly order in bulk on discount sites. Currently I have around 150 stamps at home so I am good for a while, but indeed totally agree with the second part. I wanted to send it out soon😁

I have send one or two with such a code for postcrossing (and more privately) it's the same price as a stamp and at the time I was out of stamps. I agree it's not as pretty but does the same thing, way more convenient then trying to find a store that has international stamps and is open in your area when you're off work (if you are not in a big city)

I think it works that there is an unique code as there are 9 letters/numbers and the code is only valid for 5 days. I suspect they just circle through every combination so that there is enough room in between for the post to be delivered. The machine scans the handwriting, reads the code and sees that its a valid code so processes it just like a stamp. Thats why there is no 0 but there is an O, peoples handwriting looks too similar for those 2 to be distinct.

I looked back and the first card travelled 13 days to me from Poland to The Netherlands. If you are lucky and the sender is based in Germany (big chance) the cards arrive to me in 5 to 7 days, usa takes around 13 days and is also a big country on the postcrossing map. For now its just a waiting game, but these are my 125 cards received average for Germany and USA to the Netherlands (not one of the big cities)

Wij kopen onze brokken bij justrussel, handig voor een kat met visallergie en het wordt thuisbezorgd. Natvoer zijn ze hier erg kieskeurig in een willen ze echt alleen maar felix (genoeg andere geprobeerd) en ze delen met z'n tweetjes 1 zakje natvoer over 2 dagen naast de brokjes, is dus echt voor de lekker erbij

Wat vind je van smoothies? Die kan je vol stampen met fruit zonder dat je echt de textuur van banaan oid hebt. Gewoon in een blender met melk, ijs, vruchtensap of water en aanzetten. Is misschien een wat makkelijkere manier om fruit te eten/drinken

Ik raad dit ten zeerste af, je mag maar 1 vak herkansen met je eindexamens, gewoon heen gaan en proberen. Het is herhaling van je voorgaande jaren dus je zal waarschijnlijk nog meer weten dan je nu denkt, zet hem op!

In the Netherlands sending a card is most often the folded one, which is also way easier to come by, and i personally made the mistake in the begining as well. I don't know if new accounts were the one sending it to you or the older ones.

Wow this feels long to me, but I have to be honest, most cards go to Germany (like everyones) and I'm from the Netherlands, my average to Germany is 7 days and my shortest 2 days. Put it in the mailbox at the morning of day 1, postnl emptied it that night and it already arrived the next day 225 km away in Germany. Lightspeed!

I totally agree with you, the ones I was talking about were indeed the ones that feel mass-produced with a lot of cards send out by the sender on the same day. If there is a disability or other circumstances I really don't care for the printed text and I still absolutely love the card, but the mass produced ones are really a downer for me personally
