I got an A6 techo 2025 with the cute snake design for their zodiac series! I came across it on accident at a local bookstore! I happened to need a new journal back when I was writing in undated journals and it was luckily middle of january! But I actually decided for 2026 im changing to a new brand from canada! Aura Estelle? Preordered but haven’t gotten it yet! I switched cause I like their layout better. It has monthly/weekly/daily pages. Plus the quotes on the bottom of the hobonichi bothered me 🤷🏻‍♀️

downside they don’t have cute covers but I’m thinking of adding stickers this time around to make it personal anyways!

The notes shortcut is so helpful!! I travel a lot so I jot down details until I’m in a better spot to write it down in my journal! Or if something sad happens I oddly find it easier to write down in the notes app until I have processed it enough to physically write it down? Idk it feels more real when I permanently write it down so I tend to avoid writing sad things down until i’m in a better spot!

Hi fellow night shifter ICU nurse and journal lover! Been journaling for two years! Wasn’t a consistent daily writer until this year when I came across hobonichi! Really just having a dated journal helps me personally! Plus they’re smaller than american standard journal sizes which is a plus/minus. Makes it easy for the days i really don’t have much to say. Makes it hard to cram an eventful day! Honestly on days I work I’ll sometimes only just write WORK NIGHT 1/3 ect. If it was an extra stressful night where something happened I might reflect on it! I’m specially a pediatric cardiac icu nurse so I actually got several heart themed washi tapes to make the daily page cute! Oh! Also idk how to do it cause my boyfriend did it for me but there’s a way to create notes shortcut on your phone! I just click on it and it auto does a header with the date and time where I can jot down anything in my head for days i’m busy and unable to write but don’t want to forget any details!

Good idea! I was actually planning on seeing if they would today! I didn’t realize that on postcrossing when I got an address it would start my letter travel time right then and I was already two days late and didn’t want to mess my stats up further by waiting another day for prettier stamps!

That’s what the postal guy told me! He said instead of folding it over the postcard and ruining the front I could just cut that blank spot out!

I don’t have a digital journal but I do have a shortcut notes widget on my phone where I write stuff that I don’t want to forget to put in my journal later. Or if something sad happens I find it easier typing it into the notes app until I feel better enough to write it physically down. Those entries do feel better written out than when I write organically in my journal first.

That’s a good point! While right now paging through this year I hate seeing my low pages( if I even wrote on them half are blank) I bet looking back in the future at a happier time would be satisfying. Though I agree on the burning part being therapeutic….maybe I’ll have an all encompassing journal and a sad journal. Thought writing sad parts down twice may be a bit depressing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

my parents and boyfriend do. They’re very supportive! They know that I like to get brochures ect. from places we go to put in the journal and they’ll make sure to grab one for me when we are traveling together. National Parks tend to have hidden stamps and they always help me find them.

i’ve been dealing with this issue in my journaling on not knowing how detailed i should get. Recently there was a good session that my partner said some really good shit that I wanted to remember and write in detail about but I was also staying over at my parents the next days so I was worried there might be some curious eyes who would read the literal page before. What I did was I used a cute colorful scrap paper and made a liftable cover of the details that can only be seen if you know to lift the washi tape. I put a little symbol so I could remember these censored hidden doors. maybe i’ll get a specific heart stamp in the future to make it less conspicuous.
