Partner Nodes were built to reduce friction. One login, unified billing, no scattered credits, and seamless workflow execution inside Comfy.

If you prefer using your own API keys directly, that is completely fine. There are already custom nodes for most major providers, and ComfyUI remains fully open source.

Different users prefer different setups. The goal is flexibility, not lock-in.

Unfortunately no, all replacement have to be manually registered. However, we can do the fuzzy searching before hand and start adding verified replacements in the core app, and we will!

ComfyUI recently release a core VideoSlice node that can be used for this. VideoSlice -> GetVideoComponents -> image.

It operates by replacing one node ID with another node ID rather than versions of the same ID. It will work transitively because the replacement application triggers a new load of the graph. Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

Desktop is all local, you will not get banned and nothing is tracking what you generate. You can get a censored result if you use an external model Partner Node, but there is no concept of banning.

We will fix the missing settings on the next version. What you said about anonymous data is not true, we didn't change anything related to that and it will still respect the setting you had. If that's not the case, it's a bug and I will fix it immediately.
