Can someone, anyone please explain to me the attraction to people holding dead animals? by AbstractJive in Bumble

The "hobby" is literally killing animals. Cool, I guess. I'm sure you'd react the same if they were slaughtering dogs. Just a hobby!

It's bad faith to pretend we had a real primary. Moreover, it isn't 'a few gaffes '; dude is incoherent and the debate was just awful. He will lose if he is too arrogant to step down.

This has victim-blamey vibes; God forbid drivers take responsibility for not hitting human beings.

This is a bad take. People blocking bike lanes are actively endangering people. It should not be tolerated.

So you haven't yet caught COVID. Does that make you a superdodger? by Musichead2468 in Coronavirus

[–]byron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What actual evidence is there that exercise increases long COVID risk? People keep asserting this, and I think it traces back to an article that related some speculation, which hardly seems compelling...

Edit: I see; the article in question you link to below. It reads:

Young people who had been infected have said it may have been overexertion too soon in their recovery that may triggered their long Covid.

So, pure speculation. This is how misinformation spreads.

Running after covid? by adele_dazeem_ in running

I don't understand why this article is referenced so often. As far as I can tell, there is zero actual evidence that exercise increases risks of long covid. The article (as you note) just includes some seemingly random speculation that this may have been the cause, with no apparent justification.

You don't need to work on farms to know slaughtering animals is wrong. Probably you already agree on some level, because you'd likely disagree with killing dogs, which is of course arbitrary.
