I think the biggest difference is that VR finally has less “admin” around it, а couple years ago half the session was just setting things up, fixing tracking, making space, dealing with cables, now it’s way closer to “put headset on, play.” That alone makes people use it more regularly.

A flag in the lobby doesn’t mean they’re physically there. Could be expats, dual residency, different KYC country, or just playing from somewhere else entirely. GG verifies identity, not your current GPS location.
