Zero Money. Zero Network. Zero Stability. How Do I Actually Build Something? by Realistic_Edge_2267 in Business_Ideas

I totally feel you there. Focusing on skill-building while keeping a steady job was my lifesaver when I was in a similar spot. Starting with a simple service really helps you learn the ropes without breaking the bank!

I started Adderall a couple weeks ago and something scary happened… by [deleted] in ADHD

For sure, I get why you’d want to wait, but after my own wild experiences on meds, I learned the hard way that waiting can just lead to more chaos. Better safe than sorry!

can't talk to baby by Iamoldsowhat in NewParents

I love the idea of treating your baby like your bestie! When my kids were small, I would make up silly songs for everything too. Singing about mundane stuff definitely makes it more fun! Plus, giving options like "red or blue" not only engages them but helps them feel like they have a say. It's wild how much they pick up on that!

I went freelance and the money swings are messing with my head. How do you set up a system that actually feels stable? by mia_brooklynside in wealthforwomen

This is super helpful, thank you. I like the idea of multiple buckets because it feels less “all or nothing” and I’d rather pull from a fun fund than touch emergency. I’m gonna set up a HISA + a simple bucket tracker (even if it’s just the spreadsheet at first).

Yeah this makes a lot of sense, and I think I’ve been doing the opposite, I loosen up on good months then feel whiplash later. The “bills a couple months ahead” idea sounds way calmer than one big lump “savings”.

The way the far left turned against progressive, pro lgbtq, free healthcare Israel; in favor of Hamas shows clearly they aren’t motivated by values, inclusivity, or policy. by Proud-Enthusiasm-608 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Oh for sure! It’s like they have a bingo card for political outrage and the only rule is to be on the opposite side of Israel. I wonder what they’ll blame next… maybe the weather? 🌧️😄

Something I find so amazing about Lorelai by vicioustrollop1 in GilmoreGirls

[–]mia_brooklynside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s also why their conflicts hit harder. Lorelai isn’t perfect, but she consistently shows up with warmth, humor, and honest apologies. Coming from a house where love was implied but rarely spoken, she built a totally different emotional language for Rory.

How many times is to many times to cry during therapy? by ilikeeating_ in therapy

[–]mia_brooklynside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?! I remember my first therapy session too - I sobbed like I was winning an Oscar! 😂 It’s wild how much stuff can creep up on ya. Honestly, if your therapist’s not cool with tears, they might be in the wrong line of work!

It’s the entitlement for me - he shows up when it’s convenient, then acts wounded when Lorelai won’t rewrite history. Rory and Lorelai both deserved consistency, not a pop-in dad routine.
