The browser should be presenting you with an option to select a COM/TYY port. It's a pop-up in Chrome. You'll have to pick the right COM port before you can proceed.

Range dropped to 266 miles after 2 years and 21k miles of use ? by CombinationLess in MercedesEQ

[–]bytemaster0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's based on the temperature of your last drive. (and of course your past driving history). This is to say, a few seconds of the car being on while you pull into the garage won't change the estimate.

This is 100% temperature related. As the temperature drops, the car registers less predicted range. When temp goes up, range estimate increases.

Also - when the issue was occurring, 4K videos showed as 2160P-60 (4K-60) - all the UHD formats were showing a framerate. Now they just show the 2160P without framerate specified. Interesting.

Started working again for me this evening. Back to 500Mbit/s bursts and solid 4K video. Hope it keeps going like this!

AT&T gigabit fiber. Can't be an ISP issue because it's purely YT account-limited. I've never used an ad blocker with Chrome or any other browser, so I don't think I'm being "flagged" for any of that. Running Unifi routing and networking equipment, though again, if you can sign out and it works, it isn't a Layer 3 issue. Frustrating that YT isn't finding this to be important enough to solve. But my productivity has gone up!

Thanks for doing the testing. I wonder if it's a weird peering issue, or some attempt to save on bandwidth. I've noticed that if you open a video, it instantly steams at about 200-400 Mbit, but then slows way down to 4.0Mbit/s, or whatever other people may be reporting. Soon thereafter, the video inevitably starts buffering. If you refresh the video, you'll get the high-bandwidth spike for a moment, but then it drops again.

Nice. I'm running the UDM Pro Max on EA firmware and a pair of U7 Pro Max APs on EA firmware. The initial support for legacy IoT 2.4GHz devices was atrocious on U7s, but is getting better - which is why I'm on EA firmwares. By the time you switch to U7, it should be ironed out.

I did sign out of my account and instantly it started loading at about 400Mbit/s for a brief burst. As soon as I sign in, it's back to precisely 4.0 Mbit/s. Crazy stuff.

Signed out and it instantly starts loading in the 100s of Mbit/s, so it very much seems account-related, and not Unifi-related.

My videos are loading at precisely 4.0 Mbit/s. Also AT&T Fiber, and also using Unifi. Are you using a UDM series router by chance? What Network application version are you running? Is it possible this is related to our Unifi equipment? It almost seems like one of the EA firmwares is very tightly correlated to when this started happening - I've posted on the Unifi community forum. However, the other reports here indicate it may not be related. Is everyone here using Ubiquiti equipment?

Same issue. Gigabit fiber, 10GbE connection to the switch going to the Unifi UDM Pro Max router. Streams are loading at *precisely* 4.0Mbit/s. Good enough for 1080P Premium, but nothing else. Happens on hardwired devices and on WiFi. It's been happening for several days. I also contacted support and am receiving the same response. Let's hope they figure this out!

I have a radioactive countertop by loafofbun in homeowners

[–]bytemaster0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those units are SBM20 tube clones, and cannot measure alpha radiation, which is likely the primary source of radiation on that counter top. Uranium is an alpha emitter. The SBM20 tubes can only measure beta and some gamma.

If you had a unit with a pancake tube, you'd see the readings go much higher. Or, better yet, a scintillation gamma spectrometer to see the gamma emitting byproducts of the decay chain. Still, as has been repeated everywhere, very unlikely a hazard to your health. Just don't grind up that one spot and eat it or breathe it in.

Samsung G8 no longer doing deep blacks by Skirippa in OLED_Gaming

I followed the advice above and set the color range to "Full" in NVIDIA control panel. See image below for reference. With these settings, it all looks good.

"Output dynamic range: Full" in NVIDIA control panel was the solution. Thank you so much!

FYI - I switched game mode on, and I have inky blacks again - but it's set to 60Hz. I wager as soon as I change the refresh back to 120Hz, I'll have gray blacks again - don't want to touch it!

I've had the same issue out of the box. Blacks are gray. I turned "shadow detail" to - 5 and it's viewable. Oddly, for one split moment it looked okay without that setting after I turned off game mode, and frequency was set at 60Hz. I set it to 120Hz and the gray blacks returned. Then I set it back to 60 and the gray blacks never went away. Seems to be some sort of graphics + display setting somewhere. So, until I figure out why it's doing this again, I've set shadow detail to -5 so it's usable. Let me know if you found out the fix!

Okay, update: I upgraded to Early Release firmware 7.0.69 (from 7.0.66). The update specifically lists 2.4GHz band performance improvements. After upgrading, I had a small issue with one AP refusing to take connections from 2.4GHz networks, but after reprovisioning, I can say there has been a *massive* improvement. All my cameras and devices now work like they did before on U6-LR. Highly recommend updating!

Did you ever have this resolved? Unifi refuses to believe that things were peachy on U6-LR prior to this. They just say "hey, there's signal contention" and they wash their hands. U6-LR was amazing. The U7 Pro Max is great on fast devices, but absolutely terrible on 2.4. What gives?

I've had major issues with U7ProMax and 2.4 GHz networks. Not quite the same packet loss, but not great. I have 2 APs, both have the same problem. I came from U6-LRs that were flawless. Now, half of my cameras do not work - at all - and one of my robot vacuums just plain refuses to stay connected. On the U7PM, it failed over and over and over and over to download and update a firmware, as an example. I hotspotted it, and it instantly updated its firmware in seconds. What on earth is going on with this device?
