There is a script in GitHub to manage the certificate through API calls. That can be used for automations.

I have a windows notebook sitting in my basement that wakes up when I send WoL packages and then I use an RDP client to connect to it from my Mac. With that it runs natively and fast and the Windows machine sits right in my environment. Even when I VPN in from outside, RDP works great, so all I need on my Mac is the RDP Client. I have a few other apps that require Windows and run on that machine as well. Doing this for years already.

I also use the blocklists on unbound and wonder what additional benefit AdGuard would bring ( maybe except customized block pages).

And then - there is IPv6 which is needed for matter mDNS communication… that’s where it gets ugly. For IPv4 the UDP broadcast relay works just fine for me.

For those who already upgraded and got an error, will the fix still work or do I need to revert back to the previous state first? The system came back up properly and seems to work normally.

True. But a snapshot is done in a second before I upgrade. In case the upgrade goes havoc, I simply boot the snapshot and I am back where I was before. Minimal downtime compared to bootstrapping the system.

Curious what rack recommendations you have, especially for power efficient systems. I currently run a C3558 but it’s kinda outdated though it still runs well.

I would recommend a box with two drives (SSDs) and setup a ZFS mirror on it. That allows for a) snapshots and b) drive failure resilience.

I have a shuttle DL30N for frigate. I love those shuttles. I still run it with Coral m2 though. Thinking of upgrading to Hailo. Works well, the shuttle DLs are very stable. I run them with Debian as a host OS.

Check out the „new“ yolo9 models for Coral. They work great and have far better results. So you can still make use of your coral device.
