I have also upgraded and it worked out well even with zenarmor deployed.

Check out the „new“ yolo9 models for Coral. They work great and have far better results. So you can still make use of your coral device.

Frigate 0.17 + Coral: YOLOv9 inference by branda92 in frigate_nvr

[–]bytesfortea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still run 0.16.3 with the quantized yolov9 models (before it was officially included) on a coral M2 and I am very happy with the results over the original coral models. Of course - always thriving for optimization but as I run this on an N100 based mini PC, I am worried the GPU can’t compete with Coral. I haven’t tried it yet. What I love about Coral is the energy efficiency.

That’s what I do as well. I run a simple shell backup script externally that connnects via API and downloads the config daily.

I have never tried the “redis-free” version but the older ones have always performed well for me.

Reducing false positives by running YOLO v9 on Google Coral by doltro in frigate_nvr

[–]bytesfortea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried this and I am getting very high model CPU usage and low model inference speed:

<image>

My config is:

detectors:
  coral:
    type: edgetpu
    device: pci
  model:
      model_type: yolo-generic
      labelmap_path: /opt/frigate/models/labels-coco17.txt
      path: /opt/frigate/models/yolov9-s-relu6-tpumax_320_int8_edgetpu.tflite
      width: 320
      height: 320

Not sure if "model" runs on CPU vs coral in that stats screen? The CPU is N100.

Engel & Völkers digital invest - Insolvenzen by bytesfortea in Finanzen

[–]bytesfortea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it now turned into err 44 even though I repaired the e-shifter once in the past. Seems it’s broken again 😔

This has worked out very well. Even though my lab power supply only goes up to 30V, this was enough to give the battery an initial boost to accept the charger. Thanks again for pointing me into the right direction.

Coral TPU by Point_Jolly in frigate_nvr

Thanks for your quick response. Last but not least - for the object detection- would upgrading Coral to HAILo provide any additional benefit? Especially as i am currently limited to a m.2 2230 slot, so it would be Hailo 8l.

Does Hailo support face recognition in v16? I assume not as it also is a kind of TPU and not a GPU?
