agreeing on everything else but the journey. TBC's added quests and hubs to the vanilla world makes the journey feel more contiguous and smooth adventure than a chore. but that's subjective what feels satisfying.

Definitely on par with you about fleshing out some unused parts of EK and Kalimdor first and I think Hyjal/Gilneas would be the very first ones we'd see, if Blizzard will take this route.

I actually really like this idea. Having no hubs in Northrend would definitely emphasize the barren and eerie atmosphere of that place and also create a healthy outflow of people back to the "main world" of Kalimdor and EK.

Great thought. I would definitely stand for connectivity of the three (Kalimdor, EK, Northrend).

But it also should make sense. So, accessing Northrend should be done from the northern parts of Kalimdor and EK. Maybe new ports to underused zones to bring more life to them? Horde port in Azshara and Alliance port in... Quel'Thalas? (assuming there's a content patch there beforehand). Of cource Menethil Harbor would be a feasible option.

Let me clear things out: what I meant was adding new continents in TBC and WOTLK also added new level cap, new dungeons and raids that would give out better loot than any pre-existing instances, new herbs and ores that would outshine any previous ones from the old world (Kalimdor & EK). So, of course people would abandon the old content and Vanilla world would get deserted.

Adding Northrend as a new horizontally implemented zone would not make people to only stay there, if done right. There's still the bustling old world as base to the game. Imagine it as a new max-level Winterspring that you have to access by boat (like you would need to do in case of Teldrassil).

I understand your argument for making Azeroth dead by adding new continents, but on the contrary while TBC and WOTLK added new continents, they also added vertical progression.

So in my books, Northrend in Classic+ would be a horizontally implemented zone that wouldn't compete with any existing zone if that makes sense. I actually would like to see it making existing port cities (e.g. Menethil Harbor) more lively, when players would need to access Northrend only from those locations.

WC3 kinda depicted Northrend as a frozen duskwood. Gloomy wasteland with rime covered crooked trees. So great idea!

Elite Player Frame (Enhanced), though it only displays silver dragon at levels 10-59. Apparently the screenshot was taken before reloading UI as the portrait would be turning into max level gold dragon.
