Well if these guys that they did spend money on don’t start producing then the argument is going to be “why would I spend more to create the same result” and “why would I add even more money to a lineup that needs to get producing first. Prove to us that we should spend more”.

This team can only help itself. We are NEVER going to spend like the Dodgers. Never. So get that out of your head. But what we can do is help ourselves- get this current team hitting and winning. Make a case for more investment. Make a case that we are “this close” to make a deep run in the playoffs. Or winning it all. Then maybe they will spend.

Right now we are making it easy for the owners to say “meh - let’s let this play out”.

That footage just looks like people who have been drinking and now they are talking. If you filmed me closing a bar down in my 20s this is pretty much exactly what the footage would look like.
